Oh it wouldn't be a barb thread if user50001 didn't get his penny for thoughts in. How can you look at my barbs gear and not realize it's top tier? How can you not understand the power of 30 second downtime on wotb with perma charge at 5 seconds? 8 minute t6 clears as a raekor barb and you think Diablo progress is gonna show how l337 my lightning setup is? I could throw on all my fire gear and be top 50 in the world if you like.
Not even my eq set clears as fast as my lightning setup despite the theorycrafting of it being incredibly better.

Cute, but I do have multiple sets and an open armory link unlike yourself and video proof of t6 clears and I actually give people advice on these forums unlike you and your meager brain claiming raekor is unviable. 57% lightning versus geared characters worldwide at 100%+ fire, yeah diabloprogress wont put me in the top 1k but you cant deny my sets godly and one of the best out there for a lightning barb. Contradicting what? if I put on my barbs eq set it is definitely one of the highest ranked eq barbs in the world, but its a bad set now that blizzard nerfed it and raekor is by far superior.

But on a serious note,can we agree that the site correctly calculates but doesn't take into account rotations,spells,+dmg on specific skills and so much more? It's a good site to help you decide which gear gives more elemental/elite dps but it's not the be-all and end-all of calculating dps.
I guess to you everything I type is rocket science when you're at the level of street science. I have not once said I hate diablo progress, but it is in fact a website that does the math for people who don't know how to calculate their TRUE damage in proper gear. A down syndrome jimmy hatrick in a blanket can look at your rank75 and see you're aren't using a set and your just stacking pure damage and nobody cares lol. Barbs seem to think eq is the only way and well I have one of the best and I simply state it isn't as efficient as people seem to claim and there are easily other ways such as rak's hota or even boulder toss build and even a globe build. All you need to know is if you are wearing a set and diabloprogress ranks you pretty high in the world you know you are doing something right.
I guess the point wasn't clear as to what the dps means on diabloprogress, the site does the math so when you open your inventory and your damage is 1 million and you want to know what 128% fire is stacked on top of that and that's what diabloprogress is ranked off of. The higher the number the more damage you do obviously.
Does having 1 unity + follower not die token do anything useful? I'm a lightning barb and use together as one for that damage reduction already. So would throwing ring and token on follower really help me out?

No, a unity on yourself and a immortal follower token on the follower (with no unity) does not provide any benefit to you beyond the +%elite damage. You'll need a unity for yourself and a unity for your follower that has the immortal token. That then effectively doubles your toughness; you'll be taking half damage. It's a powerful combination, pissing contest aside. It's not necessary to do T6 but it certainly doesn't hurt either.

Actually due to blizzards "bug fix" eq became incredibly bad for people such as myself that were hitting for 80m hammers with harrington so I decided to put a lot of my fire gear on my crusader seeing as how Raekor was clearing t6 faster without harrington. How? its simple 30 second downtime on wotb and 5 second downtime on charge if it ever bugged made raekor's incredibly powerful when paired with hota/bloodshed with 50% area damage. Trash mobs actually die faster to bloodshed than earthquake making the set obsolete despite its great numbers.

After some testing I came to the realization that Raekor's was outproducing eq in my case so I threw it out there in the thread. People say Raekor isn't viable and that's where the argument came into play.

1.) Yes, t6 is viable without Unity. I have a Freezing Leaper that runs Ancients with Together as 1. I have Overpower with momentum and use Hammer of the Ancients to do excellent damage and my fury never runs out. Ancients provide amazing toughness and don't die too often because most things are just frozen there like tards.
2.) Unity makes T6 so much easier and more efficient that I prefer to just solo with it now regardless of build. Generally that means I drop ancients, take my 4 piece EQ set (adding helm to current gearing), and swap in Harrington and a nice Aughilds chest I made with 15% EQ damage.
Either way, don't let all the bickering back and forth distract you too much. I thought Unity was a bit OP too, but time and time again it remains as-is despite hot fixes and patches, so I'm thinking Blizzard intended it to be a soloing tool, since Unity is pretty much useless in a group (I've tried it... and at least one person gets nuked every fight from the shared damage on T6). If you have a Unity, I would recommend just trying it out to see the difference, then decide if you wanna use it or not
In my opnion blizzard already said time and time again that the focus of d3's game design is multiplayer. That makes things harder for players like me who enjoy solo. I wouldn't be surprised if the Unity combo was something done on purpose waiting to be discovered instead of just a "discovery who got popular". That said, yes, it feels mandatory, but so does other rings, namely SoJ and Ring of Royal Grandeur. I see Unity as some kind of end game gimmick for solo players. It's useless on multiplayer since your allies actually take dmg instead of being immortal like your followers.
ice eq barb with immortal king is so terrible offensively that makes T6 farming extremely inefficient. Unless you know something I don't (please share in that case) I just don't see why would anyone run ice eq + IK for T6, unless you are playing zdps for group run.
fire EQ barb can still run T6 without unity, but you have to sacrifice your strongarm bracer forancient parthan defenders and use stun rune for leap. With proper kiting you can still get by.
Hey man. doing T5-6 without a unity for barb is pretty easy.
First off if you have the full ik set i would recommend using togheter as one rune for ancients as they basicly work as a unity on follower as long as they are alive.
2nd i would reccomend finding alot of +healthglobe hp secondary gear and get as much pickup radius as you humanly can, the faster you pick em the better for ur survival/ancients survival. A good goal on + healthglobe bonus would be 100 000. if you get this to 100 000, you will effectively heal 1500 HP per point of fury you are using. Its the biggest survival Passive you can have Imo and with Hp globe stats it only grows stronger. blood rage and forced march come to mind as awesome spammable fury spenders to use to keep gaining a ton of hp from the passive.
Togheter as one rune for ancients works best with lightning + modifiers, but if you are playing EQ it still is the best option out of all the other runes. and you might have to give up some fire damage or so to keep the set bonus active. but for solo T5-6 play the dmg from a EQ build doesnt need too many modifiers to be effective.
just the tips i could come up with for now. High Hp/Allres is ofc mandatory. But with the ik set bonus you can give up some of theese stats over healthglobe/radius gains IMO

Probably depends on build and class tbh, i'd imagine 6set ranged crusader with RoRG would be able to do T6 just fine.
it's all about beating the Lag boss and knowing your class.
