This is the Barbarian story at the current patch.
1. Torment 1-3 whirlwind lightning
2. Farm torment 3 for Might of the Earth set and Lut Socks
3. Wear Might of the Earth set and Lut Socks
4. Go do torment 6
all of your passives are wrong. drop brawler, bloodthirst, unforgiving and rampage for superstition, tough as nails, animosity and relentless
Barbs don,t need a fury generator t3 and up, they don't need one ever with the right passives and gear. Use WW windshear as primary. Drop WoTB and Call of the ancients as you don't have any sets/passives/items that contribute to them. Go left click WW, right click sprint tornadoes, 1-2-3 triple buff war cry/all resist, battle shout and threatening shout, with health globe rune, 4 key overpower with crit/lightning rune

hahahahahahahha! Don't listen to this guy, he msut not see your shard of hate.
this is my build http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Revan-2637/hero/1957147 and the stats are quite similar to yours, my andariel isn't lightning though and i've got perma ancients. The key items are thunderfury and shard of hate though.
t6 lightning doesn't use whirlwind for anything else than mobility and the occasional trash mobs. Since you have shard of hate, (you even have andariel for extra bambam) you're gonna use frenzy with lightning rune for proccing that shard and andariel on every hit.
If you have the immortal templar relic, use it on him, and get him to tank. Keep all your offensive passives, I prefer to always use rampage, weapons master and ruthlesness, no matter what. Maybe put in bloodthirst and use it with seismic slam with lightning stun rune for healing and control when u need it, if not, brawler or the one that increases damage by 25 % when at full fury works great with frenzy spam and shard of hate.
You've got tasker and theo I see, any chance you might have the immortal king set lying around? the ancients are insane with those gloves, and as long as you don't use the together as one rune, they survive very well on t6, i have yet to see them die as a matter of fact, as long as I use the immortal templar as a tank, mobs don't really go for the ancients at all.
those legs of yours will obviously have to go as a lightning barb on t6, they're great for the earthquake leap build though^^ In general, i mostly clear t6 rifts in 17-20 min, which is slow, it will always be slow until they boost lightning damage. Fire is the fastest yes, but lightning still works well in t6, as long as you've got the proc weapons.
So to sum up t6 lightning build: Get your templar to tank, and use frenzy like a madman.
^ hes stuck in T3 dopetard so giving him some T6 build is worthless
He's asking for advice on how to push through it lol, with shard of hate you only need frenzy, which is what i told him, I also told him he has gear to be doing t6. DOPETARD is fun word. Love how you listed up a bunch of subpar skills for him to use that would set him back to torment 2 though, smooth stuff, do you even play barb? You even said he has no gear that helps out his ancients, when he has tasker and theo >.<
I am missing IK Chest and Ring of the Royal Grandeur Looks like I have a bit more farming to do in T3 for those two items, then I'll try out T6 with your build Thank you!

Couldnt agree more with User_131498 here. I just think lightning doesnt scale well into higher torment. Not nearly as well as the cookie cutter "slut socks earthquake bunny barb". Grind out the highest torment you can farm efficiently and go for some of the gear that really puts out high damage. While Blizzard is trying to let people have unique builds with all of the "game changing" legendary items, something is always going to be the best, its the nature of the game.
Where do I go from here? How can I improve my dps and survivability?
Don't be so worried about progressing in Torment difficulty right now. Focus on your efficiency and getting as many legendary drops per hour as you can. That's the real key to progression.
You have one really good thing going for you and that is a really nice pair of Hexing Pants you can use with Leapquake build, Raekors Charge builds or a pure WW build.
In my experience, you should take advantage of those by speed farming with WW+Rend only through T1 or T2 until you get at least 4pc Immortal Kings, of not 4pc Earth sets. You should be able to complete T1 or 2 rifts in about 3-5 minutes. That frequency of loot chances equates to a lot of legendary drops per hour.
1. Frenzy is bad with Hexing Pants because you're standing still with Frenzy and therefore losing damage. Same with Seismic Slam, though you can studder-step and beat the Hexing Pants debuff if you're quick for 1 Slam only. Drop those two abilities from your build or use another pair of pants if you want to keep the stationary abilities.
2) COTA - Ancients Fury is very good for sustained Fury. You might be able to use Boon of Bulkathos and some CDR to make this work without 4PC IK. In my WW build, COTA this is my primary attack due to lack of bar space -- http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/barbarian#jhkRPU!jShe!YYZcbZ -- but I'm using 4 PC IK with Lightning for extra damage and limitless Fury.
3) Use Unforgiving. It is awesome, especially with 3pc IK.
4) I use War Cry because I have a Chilanik's Chain (more speed). If you don't have one, then you can use another ability unless you need the Fury. You could use Rend instead if you have excellent Fury management.
