yes with good gear, also the more packs the better the barb becomes because of his strong aoe coupled with life steal at which point you can die only if you get 1 shot
Overpower is overpowered, especially with WW spec.
Crushing advance gives you 35% damage redirection, meaning not only do you take 35% less damage it gets redirected back at monster. To make it even more OP, Life STEAL still works 100% with overpower and was not subject to the original LoH nerf, so you get massive heals from it that only get bigger as MP goes up.
Depends on how you judge overpowered. If you judge it by "kill faster and survive better than anyone ever did in this game with no gear" then no, he's not. However, if you judge it by "kill faster and survive better than anyone with equal budget gear", then yes, he is very much overpowered! Not nearly as overpowered as in 1.0.4, but definitely quite overpowered.
The only adjustment you need to make is have more survivability than before in case you are missing some, even if it means to lose some DPS. Then, with the same investment, you will still out-class any other class/build with the same amount invested in gear as you.
Comparing my monk with 40k dps (400 AR/4500 armor/38k hp) to my WW barb with 90k dps (300 AR/6500 armor/38k hp) monk seems to be way stronger: he gains spirit faster, is more safe to get into combat (barb could be killed in just 2 seconds while monk can simply blind everyone after 2 hits) and i almost never die. Monk's budget is way lower too. Probably killspeed is a bit slower but to my mind it's better to go without deaths and kill slower than to die 10 times in a row sometimes.

The 100 AR makes all the difference, almost as much as the armor. You also could have more lifesteal/LOH on the monk than the barb. With equal stats (for argument, both classes have 60k dps, 400 AR, 5k armor, 38k HP), the barb will outlive the monk in most situations easily.
2000 armor > 100 resist in practically every situation (use EHP calculator to verify!).
That said, though, it doesn't matter how much gold you have invested if you have it invested wrong. If your monk has good life steal and life on hit while your barb does not, no wonder your barb dies so easily. Also, are the monk stats after skill/passive bonuses? If not, then obviously he's even tankier compared to your barb that probably uses no defensive skills/passives (you really shouldn't in 1.0.5, except maybe bloodthirst). Besides, 90k DPS is quite high if you're using a stat stick off hand with low DPS, but quite low if your off hand has the same DPS as your main hand.

All stats are counted including all passives. Barb's LoH = 800 + he has LL = 2,8%. Monk's Loh = 680-ish and no LL at all. Barb's passives are WM (for crit)/Ruthless (same purpose)/Superstition (to compensate lack of resistances). I was using a mid-rolled Skorn (1300 dps/290 str/240 crit hit dmg) - the main source of my dps.
I think the biggest problem for barb is getting rage from 0 (if you die or just running a long distance from mob to mob) - 'cause i'm using a bash (Instigation) as a generator. Since my swings are slow with Skorn, if I engage 2-3 "hard" monsters they can multishot me in just a sec. With Monk i'll simply blind them all and escape or just kill fast.

TBH, the skorn might be the source of your issue. You may want to try 2x 1h weapons as you can balance stats on it easier and for less overall gold. I recently dropped war cry for overpower-crushing advance, and as long as you have the crit to back it up, you can keep up the 35% less damage taken. You can also try swapping out bloodthirst for superstition as a passive, as crushing advance covers for the loss in mitigation. I am very keen on crushing advance mainly because i can keep 100% uptime on it, and having a flat 35% extra damage reduction (in the form of a very nice reflect) is great.
I have 550 AR, 66k (unbuffed) dps, 57.5% crit, 5.2% lifesteal (8.2% with passive), 5100 armor and a little over 1100 LOH with 47k life. I did mp7 ubers tonight with some friends and never died unless everyone else died. I had no issues running through Maghda's arcane sentries if i had to get to king. Ghom never got me below 80%, and i soloed Siegebreaker to 40% while the rest of my group killed ZK. Barbs are really gear dependent to become overpowered, but they are not the most expensive to gear anymore.
Yes, all points towards skorn being the issue. 90k DPS with skorn is not enough for life steal and 800 loh just doesn't cut it with such a slow attack speed. Sell the skorn for a decent dual-wield setup (strong main hand (high DPS with 1-2 (3 if you're really rich) damage stats but no ls/loh, weak stat stick offhand with LS and maybe LOH along with as much dmg stats as you can afford) and you'll already see a huge improvement without investing any additional gold.
By using a skorn you're giving up on one of the big factors that make the sprint/whirlwind barb overpowered.
My god people just want to whine and complain. Overpowered? No I say its stronger. Look I am no WW barb, and I can prove this but just because a lot of people use a certain cookie cutter build and loves to twirl and whirl doesn't mean you should nerf it. I wish Wizards CM spec and Monks stuff didn't get nerfed because now some of them feel the need to scream OP, nerf it to the ground or just people who cannot simply achieve being as good as another.
Whats even more disgusting is the fact its PvE. If this was PvP there's different scenarios but, right now this game is about killing monsters.Buff the other classes to our level. Don't nerf something unless its going to create more pros then cons. We saw what happened to other games when people cried nerf and overpowered..
Oh and by the way creator of this video, I respect you for making videos and your content you offer show and entertain. Please though refrain from going overboard on MP7 which is like MP5 now and telling people " we are still overpowered lawl" you're better then that man.
Why do you think anyone here is crying? Most are playing a sprint/whirlwind barb themselves... Saying it's overpowered is simply stating an obvious fact (at least obvious to anyone who has a clue about this game). It doesn't matter if it's "just PvE" (especially when there's an RMAH and it's a Blizzard game that needs to live up to Blizzard standards, which it currently doesn't do well at all).
Should they nerf it? Probably, otherwise nobody in his right mind would play any other build, missing a lot of the potential fun that this game could have had. And don't go telling me "but you can play those builds". Even Blizzard agree that you should have fun while trying to be effective, and not limit your effectiveness in order to have fun, and there's a reason both me and Blizzard think that way. As to why they haven't actually implemented this way of thinking into the actual game I don't know. Maybe Jay and Wyatt just shouldn't have had their jobs. Maybe it's something else. But bottom line is anyone with his head on his shoulders agrees that if everyone who care about being effective use the same build then there's a problem.
This build is probably better in 1.05 in my opinion, however I can already see them looking at people using overpower crushing advance and going uh oh. 1.05 made it so you couldn't plow through inferno with 1 mil of gear for a ww spec. I'd say now you have a bit more of a challenge and its certainly a bit more gear dependent. Every class has their own spec that certainly trumps all others for certain aspects, and that will never change, each class does seem to have about 3-4 good viable builds and I'd like them to expand on that. I imagine once PVP comes about you'll see a whole new slew of builds.
Good idea. Give all characters +40% movement speed and remove sprint. Buff monster movement speed by 40% as well as they'd need that buff to compensate so they can't be so easily kited. That sort of solves the problem. Of course, if you don't like that, the only way is to nerf sprint itself.
Movement speed is just too important, especially due to how effective and easy running MP0-1 is.
What's your Opinion is the WW Barb Still OP as F**K Yes or No ?
Crushing advance gives you 35% damage redirection, meaning not only do you take 35% less damage it gets redirected back at monster.
