Not really. My WW barb don't got anything special.
It needs at least crit chance to function.. to work well, it needs a decent balance of armor/resists + LoH to survive, and you probably want at least some Crit Dmg to be able to kill stuff fast, and might want some movespeed as well to be able to move properly...

That's pretty expensive
In order to function, WW doesn't need anything special/expensive:
1. CHD and movement speed are not core mechanics of this setup, they're definitely not required.
2. Poor fury generation due to low CHC can be easily offset using a mighty weapon.
3. High LOH (as well as some DPS stats) can be acquired from any cheap 200-300 DPS offhand.
4. Mediocre tanking AR/armor set that has enough survivability for Inferno was worth like 500k when I was building my barb couple months ago. It's probably even cheaper now.
Of course, the killing speed of such barb will be pretty low, but still way better than of any other barb setup with similar gear, I guess. And it's just a "starter kit" anyway.
even if they nerfed Thrive on Chaos to keep it from being 100% uptime I dont think it would affect the build that much. I personally use Slaughter and prefer that rune way more, Slaughter + reduced CD passive are fantastic and you can literally explode ANY elite/rare pack almost instantly with anything more than like 20% crit. Reduced CD makes sure its up for most packs.

300 pre NV, 375 with NV factored in.
