Okay, I Need Help - Inferno A3

  • #1
I really didn't want to do this, but I feel like I'm smashing my head against a wall, so I'm asking for help...

Even after the patch, I feel like I'm stuck in early Act 3 Inferno. I've tried various builds, read the guides, watched the videos, etc, but something just must not be clicking for me. Here's my current stats with Enchantress and Impunity:

    Str - 1485
    Dex - 176
    Int - 135
    Vit - 992

    Armor - 6824
    Life - 45,495
    Damage - 36652

    Crit% - 42.5
    Crit Dmg% - 292

    Resist All - 235
    LoH - 293

    Build

I can coast through Act 1 like it's on normal. Act 2 is a bit more challenging, but I don't spend any time farming it. I can make it up to the beginning of Siegebreaker in Act 3, but it's a slow, painful process. I played with the WW/Sprint build for a while, but ultimately switched back to the above. Are my stats just a lot worse than I think they are?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You either need to get to 800 all resist or get more LOH. Would help to know what build you are using? I imagine the Double WW build with your stats.

Sorry just saw your build. Yeah you need more all resist.

you need atleast 800 ar to farm a3 if you are going ww/sprint build, in order to farm a3 u need to be able to clear a2 easily. Throw on defensive passives until you are able to survive without them.

The 235 All resist and 293 LOH that you have shows "how hard" you "Claim" you've look thru multiple guides...

    This!

I went through your stat list and thought you have really good stats to faceroll act3, but then came ResAll and LoH...
It doesn't matter which specc you play, you should always aim for 800-1000 ResAll for Act3.
If you want to play ww/tornado barb, then I suggest 1500+ LoH aswell!!!
It's possible to clear Act3 with less than this, but it makes it much smoother this way ;)

as others stated your loh and AR are too low. i disagree on the required amounts though. i'm running act 3 with 700loh + 5.4% lifeleech (2.4 weapon + 3 passive) and 700 AR buffed with no problems. i think you can even go down to 650 AR. good luck!

    As previously stated.

Armor, LoH and AR is critical for a barbarian to survive post-a2.

Once you hit a certain amount of Armor, LoH and AR you'll faceroll it.

    Keep trying man!

    End game solutions
We recognize that the item hunt is just not enough for a long-term sustainable end-game. There are still tons of people playing every day and week, and playing a lot, but eventually they're going to run out of stuff to do (if they haven't already). Killing enemies and finding items is a lot of fun, and we think we have a lot of the systems surrounding that right, or at least on the right path with a few corrections and tweaks. But honestly Diablo III is not World of Warcraft.

Your LoH is rediculess, has to be WAY higher.
Your resist all is set for Act1, almost too low for that. So that needs a fix too.

Your build is also very odd. With your crit chance, how about getting Overpower with rune -35% dmg? with your crit that should be possible to keep up almost always.

Charge? really? why? .. get ignore pain or rend. I'd go rend after change, my rend crit for 70.000 a tick..

But no matter, i use WW spec much more reliable imo.

Did some shopping. Now I'm sitting at about 29,000 HP, 25,000 DPS and 2,000 LoH, with AR now at 700 and 70% damage reduction through armor. I've also switched back to WW/Sprint now that I have a better understanding of the spec. Thanks all!

I guess from here I need to start slowly getting my HP and DPS back up.

By 2.4 i'm assuming your attack per sec is 2.4 hit?

Plus, you got 5.4% LL (also, Life Leech will become better when you have high DPS)...so if it adds up, you also have similar gear to 1k ish mid LOH...

So by just assuming you have high IAS (2.4 hit per sec), you did not take in to account that IAS stats, which also helps to boost your LOH by quite alot.

I guess the 1.5k LOH and 800 Resist all (which is a rough figure to run a WW barb) still applies to new players that can not obtain similar gear as yours.

Everyone is saying 800-1k AR...I have under 500 and clear it fine. Mind you, I'm ranged barb...so I don't get hit much....
