Hey so I'ma get straight to it I can't even come close to killing elite packs are champ packs in act 3 its not even a chance and its really quite stupid because i feel i have really decent stats atm and I can't believe with the recent nerd i still can't do this its redic.
Anywho stats are:
1043 Str
1266 Vit
9k Armor
13.5k Dps
Around 690-720 Resists
All these with Enchantress and War Cry + impunity
I have no LoH I've only farmed probably close to 2mil since I've played this game so I havnt got much money or spent much.
23% crit hit chance
182% crit hit damage
and almost 60k HP i don't get this i feel i have too much hp yet i get rocked in seconds. And all i read on the forums is get dps and kill stuff before it kills you but I've tried regemming my gear for str for dps and the increase was so minimal it wasn't worth the health loss.
My spells are Frenzy with SA, War Cry Impunity, Leap with armor rune, Ignore Pain with Ignorance I Bliss, Revenge with proc, and WoTB with increase damage rune. Also using 3 defensive passives nerves of steel, bloodthirsty, and Tough as Nails.
Give me some pointers i got like 150k and have no idea what to do i really don't want to farm act 1 but if thats all i can do i guess thats what ill do but ya some pointers would be greatly appreciated
I know how you feel bud, one word for you: Resists.
My barb is 1200 physical, 1300 fire, 1050 others. People will say you suck and <<fill in with teenager offenses>>, cuz you should be able to do it and it goes. Don't bother, find your way.
Personally, the build makes a lot of difference. If you like close combat, then you're in trouble. There is no good build unless you have 100mil in gear. Most people who don't have issues in a3 are slamming or WW with endless WotB and 1500 LoH or have a lot of gear.
But my first bet would be lower resists atm. Get them over 1000, see how it goes.
Also, some builds are great for solo, but suck for group.
Drop Bloodthirst for Superstition. You'll notice the difference for non physical damage easily, like molten mobs.
I dunno what to tell you. Those are decent stats for Act III. I'm assuming you're sword and board. You should be able to handle it with stats like that. If you're really having trouble surviving, try and pick up some more Resists and Armor. Your health is about 15k more than I completed Inferno with, so that's not a problem.
Your damage could be better, but it's not too low. Again, if you're having trouble surviving, more damage won't do much.
I think Life on Hit would do wonders for you, considering you have none. Do you have any means of health return? I would never advise running with no way to regain health.
13k dps is on the low side for a3. Your def stats are good enough if you play careful, but the problem is that your champ fights are going to take awhile and you have basically no sustain. All the def stats and hp in the world aren't going to do you any good if you don't have a way to refill your globe.
superstition -> inspiring presence (65khp = 650hp regen a sec)
what weapon/shield u running ?
if you want to play a lazy barb and stand in stuff then you need 1k+ resist. important to note that with 9k armor and 700 resist you are literally wasting a passive right now (1k armor overkill) and should be running ruthless for more dps and go that route OR stack more resist and go the tank route

WRONG - the morning of the nerf i wanted to see if act4 was face roll
75k hp
1100resist
11k armor (NOS + TAN)
600loh
inspiring pressence 750hp per sec minimum
18k dps
champ pacts were tanked through enrages
btw there was NO way i was going to farm act 3-4 like that though hahaha
@Silfury
I said he needed some sort of sustain to stay alive. You said I was wrong and listed your stats which include 600 LoH and 750 lps regen. That's a decent amount of sustain and that's exactly what I said the OP needs to be successful.
I'm not going to urge you to get certain stats, because I don't feel like I've tried out enough to know exactly what does and doesn't work, all I can say is that I finished Inferno yesterday with fairly much ease, and I wouldn't call my gear great.
My first question would be; what is your block chance and block amount?
Anywho, I had a very similar build to yours, though I also had Superstition instead of Bloodthirst. I also did not have Ignore Pain but used Earthquake together with WoTB to seriously harm the elites I was facing.
Rest of my stats were something close to (with War Cry and enchantress)
11k armor
45k HP only
13k DPS
over 1k+ all resists
550ish LOH
40% block
Again, Im not sure if this advice is the best, I just thought I'd share what worked for me. I still had to outrun 2-3 packs in act 3 and 4 combined though.
