I haven't started yet and am looking at getting the digital download at some point over the next couple of days. I have been busy with finalising my final dissertation so didn't want to pre-order ;).
I played the beta and enjoyed playing with the cleave ability as a primary attack. Does anyone know of viable builds that make use of it? At least for normal difficulty?
I'm level 55 and I've used Cleave exclusively. The Rupture rune early on is ridiculous damage. And Broad Sweep's 156% damage makes it even comparable dps vs single targets late in the game. I prefer more of an AoE playstyle, gathering mobs with Ground Stomp and using Cleave and Revenge. Early on it's really efficient.

you took the words right out of my mouth!
Cleave with Rupture is so awesome playing up until hell difficulty, I so enjoyed zerging through all those packs on normal <3

All the stuff I'm using is available at 33, but the core skills are available much earlier. The idea is that you're using Cleave with the Fury bonus to generate the Fury you'll be dumping with Whirlwind. Using Dust Devils for maximized damage out of your Whirlwind, with Battle Rage and Ruthlessness further boosting that damage. Furious Charge does a significant amount of damage (almost 200%!) to everything it hits, and runed for Merciless Assault, you can literally charge non-stop versus large groups, which does enormous damage. Since we're taking Ruthlessness, we're focusing on crits - so use Weapons Master and find yourself a nice hammer to beat things to death with, since axes are for pussies. I've been favoring Revenge over Overpower, but I think that's because after buying a top of the line 2H from the AH, nothing survives long enough for me to really get a good Overpower in.
War Cry runed for extra armor and Nerves of Steel give you some survivability, and you could trade Ruthlessness for Inspiring Presence if you want a bit more, though that'll be a steep drop in DPS.
It's focused more on dealing with groups of enemies rather than single targets; I replace Revenge with Earthquake and Nerves of Steel with Superstition if I want a build that's going to be reasonably good against everything without my needing to swap runes or skills around. I haven't tried it in team games yet but it's working just fine for me in solo Nightmare.

First off- thanks for the build. I checked it out a few weeks ago when i was struggling on Nightmare and it helped me learn to also turn on elective mode. What a difference this build made, I was dominating my way through nightmare. Act1 hell, was more of a challenge but not too bad.
I am now stuck on act2 hell. I die constantly. I know my gear is probably not great, but it is good/decent. It appears I dont life leech enough in this build any longer to stay alive against elites. part of the problem is my resists are bad, i've gotten them all to about 90 or up but i still die super fast from fire (molton!) and poison.
Does anyone have a later game build? I am nearly 57, but it took me all weekend to go from 55 to NEAR 57, and had to replay the same quest in about 10 different public groups and still am struggling.
this is the build im using with 2x 1handers, life on hit and life regen on gear. Successfully smashing all of Normal and Whimsyshire with no issue. No issue in Nightmare yet either.
This build is amazing for smashing through mobs and taking almost no damage. Leap up to the start of the pack for the armor, Charge through the biggest concentration and the cooldown is completely reset, continue to Charge until it is actually on CD, use Revenge whenever it's up and rend if needed when Leap and Charge are on Cooldown.
Swap out Cleave for Frenzy with Sidearm on Boss fights.
Whats a good build for 2h weapons that or whats a great a build for cleave/ww
My 2 cents mate, put cleave and ww on your bar if they are the ones you want and then make it up as you go. Try different moves as you get them. You won't really have to worry until act 3/4 on hell as to what you SHOULD be doing. Lower leveling as a barb was awesome fun because you coul dliterally just run into everything and cleave it down with whatever abilities you have.
My honest opnion is don't even look at these forums and make it up yourself - once you get to inferno you become considerablly less diverse.
I loved leveling my barb trying out each different move as it came up when you leveled.
TL;DR There isn't one, make it up yourself for MAXIUM BARB ENJOYMENT =)

Thanks!
Low level build looked something like this: http://us.battle.net...#bXYVRi!cX!aaZa (Lvl 22)
Higher level build was more like: http://us.battle.net...YVRi!ace!aaZcba (Lvl 52)

Are you duel weilding for this build, or board and sword?
I'm trying to figure out how to get this barb to be more offensive because it seems like I kill soo much slower then other classes at 48.
I'm currently level 37 and toying with a 2H build after buying a decent 2H weapon from the AH, focusing on AOE damage. The build I'm using looks like: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/barbarian#bhSVik!ZYb!ZaZaaa

Thanks man, what rune do you use with frenzy? Do you also frenzy elite/bosses?
