To be honest I prefer the model that blizzard has at the moment. It would be disheartening to see a near-perfect figured female Barbarian doing so much damage. Barbarians are incredibly strong and known for their resilient bodies, I just don't believe that a skinny type figure doesn't belong if they wish to sell the Barbarians model.

"Hey, I thought you'd like the witty irony of grub-on-glowie violence!"
Well guys ... i recently got to play Tera online and there all the characters are like super Hot.
That game is just all about that ... nothing to say about the tits and the nice girls but two problems i see which make me agree with blizzard choiche...
1)In that Tera all the characters were female (mine too) just because they were soo much better than males... i don`t want to see something like that happen in diablo.
2)A Female barbarian is not too realistic tbh... and if you want it soo bad that strong bad ass female is what you get and i agree since it is realistic.
I would also like to say another thing...not everything is japanese where there are those gay heroes and those super hot with huge boobs girls who are all almost not covered... not alwayls it is true that less cover means more protection (maga wins XD); i`m finally happy to see a game where i get bad ass armour pretecting my character as i climb with levels . Even if i`ll miss those bouncing boobs in front of me all the time maybe it will cut that little sense of delusion i get in those corean games where you find yourself saying "Why is this powerfull armor so modest in covering ... ok it is Hot but i wanted to see something more on me than small piece of cloth on my nipples at max level".
I mean look at this http://imgur.com/k2fMg ... ok i`m not max level but this gets only worse(better XD) as you go higher on level ... you can check on your own.
Even if I cover my female DH or wizard with all the armor I will still feel better about them having slim bodies. And btw, I bet armor on them will look slimmer and much more feminine to comparing to their male versions or female barb.

Btw, those terra's characters have not even ounce of the character d3 babes have. And I bet they don't kill that fast and cool as d3 ones do.
The female barbarian looks exactly as I pictured her to look. I'm not picking out a character class based on how "sexy" I can make my character. Thankfully Blizzard isn't feeding in to the recent trend of female characters looking like something that stepped out of a Japanese Manga.
A barbarian SHOULD look like a bodybuilder, no matter what their gender is. The entire concept of a barbarian is to convey a sense of raw muscular fury.
Also, saying that the female barb looks like a tranny in her 40's is pretty damned offensive.
They should make them all nice and beautiful so they can be armored tanks in d3 and tasty babes when cosplay. I can see all those big women cosplaying d3 barbs next year. Hope my tv won't crack from it.
I don't really see the problem. If you play videogames to be sexually aroused, you're just weird. She's strong and a warrior, if you don't like powerful women, you can just play as the male.
power does not mean muscular, and being sexually aroused is good for long lasting game satisfaction. Every +stat to endorphin level and +sexual is good for everybody. Maybe they could add some stat +better babe on armor
Its all down to personal taste. I think considering what she is, she looks absolutely fine.
People are so used to have nearly any female character in any given game look like she just came out of a Playboy shoot.
Its kinda sad really.
Well at least you want to have all of this in game, especially if you can control her. Jump to a real life if you want to be disappointed

They could appear strong without being bulky. Also monk female is strong but not bulky. What the hell they did to barb doll I don't know. Somebody in blizz got new girlfriend and decided to make barb in her image

I respect your opinion quite alot, I respect everyones opinion and everyone is entitled to one. Mine is that female Barbarians should look bulky and resilient, because it suits the Barbarian class the most. It just wouldn't make sense for a female Barbarian to have a dashing figure and looks that are as deadly as her fighting style (lol a phrase that is overused these days :P)
For a monk it would be understandable because most of their background (couldn't find the right darn word!) or training (assuming they train) comes from being extremely mentally and spiritually strong which would explain why the female wouldn't be as buff and bulky as a Barbarian would. On the contrary, a Barbarian is based mainly on physical and all out pure strength.
So for me I just can't get my head around a Barbarian, someone that is known for their incredible strength and ability to take on a small army by themselves just wouldn't seem very masculine to have a near-perfect body. Again this is my own opinion so I understand some may think differently and I have the upmost respect for that.

I'm honestly a little baffled by this. Does anyone actually think any of the female models are 'attractive'? I mean, they are really low quality models as far as games these days go for the express purpose that you're almost never going to see them close up to begin with. I don't think any of them look good in game. Especially the faces.
The female Barb is pretty beefy and kinda manly. I might give it a try not sure though I will start with the male Barb for sure. I do wish it was more closely resembled the cover. Might not matter later once you get all your armor on, if you can handle the voice. Female Wizard and DH for sure, they both seem better than their male counterparts.
In WoW, thes characters below had exactly the same statistics, and it seemed extremely stupid. In Diablo 3, the female and male wizard are both built light and look like casters. Similarly, the barbs both look like... barbs. As for realism, most of these characters are too cartoony to exist for one reason or other. There aren't any women built like the female barb, but there aren't any men built like the male barb either. (His fists are almost bigger than his own head, and that rarely happens in nature.)
I agree with whoever said that they were glad that the female barb does not look like a character that jumped out of some Japanese manga. I think the female barb looks awesome and will be my first choice when I play the barb.
I enjoy the fact that the female barb is a huge brute force that will put up a fight against even the biggest of male barbs. I know they are the same, but I don't think I could get into the game if I was playing a tiny woman that was carrying two huge axes around. I'm glad they made her look giant. Adds immersion to the game.
Shouldnt female barb ingame model look something like this (http://www.diablofan...42_72_37851.jpg), instead of trying to compete in size with male barb and therefore looking like a tranny in mid 40s ?
I mean is there anyone that will play female barb with the current model ?
Personally, I like the model as it is. Some versions of the character will, after all, be swinging a giant two handed axe or maul and definitely should have plenty of muscle to do so. However I dislike the armor that I've seen so far.. Aren't these particular barbarians supposed to be from a place that is very cold and snowy? And the character is dressed in what looks like boots, panties and a bra. Doesn't make sense to me.

Haha, made my day pal Nah, Im not gonna play the fem barb. But actually, thats just how a female barbarian should look like. I mean, a 90/60/90 top model just wont be able to wield a heavy mace or take a hit right in her face. The tranny in her mid 40s will
Seriously? She is a barbarian...They are not supposed to look like someone you would want to cuddle up with at night...I think Blizz got it completely right, and should keep her the way she is.

Hells to the no , it would be great if the female barbarian wd be a bit sexier , if you're a dude and you've played WoW you deffinetly have at least 1 female character ( i.e. : belf female , nelf female , etc ) , dudes just like watching boobies on their screen whilist killing stuff , makes the game more entertaining ^^ !
Or maybe that's just me D:
I feel sorry for you if you get a kick out of watching female characters boobs bounce in video games, sorry mate but that's just wrong

Nothing wrong with sexy character design, for male or female characters. But the trend right now is that male characters can be sexy, or not, and are allowed to be old, etc, but female characters all have to be "hot." Its like TeeDup79 said. She's a barbarian, not somone to cuddle. Why should male characters be able to be anything from sexy to terrifying, while female characters abslutely must 100% be unrealistically attractive no matter what?
Diablo 3 does a better job than most games. The barb is a good example. And armor designs are closer to equivelent. There aren't as many situations where something that is full coverage armor on a male displays as straps, leggings and shoulder pads on a female as in several other modern RPGs.

Xena feminine, lol. She looked almost like d3 female barb with her legs.
