Interesting; can't wait to see what the other classes will be. I hope they will keep some of the "good" aspects of D2s characters although there are always room for more in an expansion. From what it sounds like the game will be huge; so I'm sure they will be able to fit a lot of skills and stuff in there covering a wide range of play preferences.
Eh, I'm sure whatever Blizzard hands us for classes will get bitched out by haters regardless. Personally, I'm glad to see some new meat; that leaves more speculation on what the other 3 heroes are.

To be honest, I had hoped we would see 5 entirely new classes with 5 entirely different styles of play. I can't even begin to describe how boring the classes in D2 were.
I find it interesting that blizzard has allowed the barbarian to return in D3 after saying they wanted to make all new classes and try to move away from those classes that have already been in Diablo and Diablo 2.
I am a necromancer fan and i find it interesting that they will replace that class with the witch doctor but they couldnt think of a new one to replace the barbarian... just dosent seem fair as i was never really a big fan of the barbarian.

Their reasoning was that they felt the Barbarian could have been better. Thats why they brought him back. They felt the Necromancer was so well done that there would be no poing.
Ah. But if they had more returning classes, I would want more new classes to counter that, and then we would have a whole mess of crap with the character selections, so I think Blizzard made a right choice. Have a favorite come back, but leave the rest to their imagination.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.

I understand that there is more that can be done with the barbarian and i think the witch doctor is a great sub for the necromancer it just would have been interesting if they found another class that could have replaced the barbarian... Say something like a jungel hunter from some kind of tribe of cannabils or a viking or pirate... dont know just a thought of what they could have replaced it with.
Would be interesting if they even did a deamon character... say the deamon got tired of all the struggel between heaven and hell and went rouge and is now trying to stop diablo because he wants to make sanctuary his home or for more sinister reasons... sort of like the story in the diablo sin wars books where the angels and deamons banded together to create sanctuary...
Sorry dude its just what they have called the world in diablo... cant really call it earth since they have shown no indication it is earth but for your sake i will call it the world...
That means all new classes.

Oops that should say "all our old favorites"
As in more of the old classes.

Yeah I agree also.
I'm just going to miss the sorceress.
Oh well I'm sure they'll find a good replacement.
