A few days ago some friends and I reinstalled D2 to play again (just the original game, not LoD). Both friends were able to connect to battle.net, I am not. I've also contacted Blizzard who have been unable to help me. Here are the fixes I've already tried.
The game is patched. I am running Windows 7 but I am running the game in Compatibility mode for Win XP SvcPk2 (though I've also tried SvcPk 3 as well as versions of Vista).
I am running the game as administrator. I've disabled my router, Firewall and uninstalled AVG. I am also using the converted 26 digit CD key. I've also tried it with the original CD key. I cannot connect to any of the 4 gateways.
I can run the game in single player mode but when I attempt to log into Battle.net, the error message I receive is: "If using a modem, you may need to connect to your Internet Service Provider before connecting to Battle.net"
I have also contacted my ISP who has told me there is no reason I shouldn't be able to connect, that they don't have restrictions.
I've searched forums, I've googled the error, I've contacted Blizzard who is still trying to help via e-mails... all to no avail. Does anyone here have any other suggestions I can try?
Where is Diablo installed. try installing the game directly to the C drive. I knew some people had problems with getting the game to run when it is in the programs folder.

On Strike and supporting Fallout 4 Mod Makers
Some fallout 4 mod makers have had their mods stolen and uploaded and downloaded on Bethesda's site for the Xbox One.
