Hello everyone, im not sure if this has been brought up before but i couldn't find anything using the search so...
I found this d2 application that allows you to choose higher resolutions when playing d2.
Here's a screen shot of me playing in a 1600x900 resolution:
I only tried it on single player because im not sure if it will get me banned on b.net... but i saw some people saying that it doesn't even work on b.net... anyway...
Its called "D2MultiRes"... Google it if you are interested.
Diablo 2's resolution can be so easily changed. Though I'm not sure how the program actually works, I'm pretty sure it acts like any other act, as in it does something to the game itself - change it or something. Heck, you suddenly have new options in the menu? Thats called changing the game to me.
Its awesome to use, but in any case would give an advantage to other players. I wouldn't dare use it on battle.net. Hopefully they would include some new res in the next patch, though.
Very nice. I'll be getting this as soon as I'm back at my dorm.

Before you go smart mode again on me, I do have a big screen. Higher resolution makes things smaller than they are in smaller resolutions. That's what I meant, and I don't think it's that hard to understand.
Everything is just uncomfortably small and hard to target on such big resolutions. And the interface looks like crap
your monitor is probably too small..
i imagine playing 1920x1200 on a 15'' would be a pain. i guess only the newest laptops 15'' have such high resolutions and i doubt there are desktop monitors like that
each thing in a game is x amounts of pixels and it doesnt change so with higher resolution, you just see more making ur dude smaller. the difference in screen size is the size of the pixels themselves. so yes, it wont make a difference in screen size to dude size ratio, but the dude himself will be WAY bigger on a projector.
Thats frickin huge! I woudl like to see my character plz lol :Ps

Example...
I've never tried it with D2, but it should work like a charm. Does with every other program I've tried it with.
Doing that only makes Diablo run in window mode, wont change the resolution, I tried it.

Seriously this rocks... By the way, you might be able to play MXL or ES with this, not sure though.

Huh?
At the same resolution, wouldn't your damn avatar be a lot bigger on a projected screen than a 15 incher?
