I'm looking at a wand right now with the words "Ignore Target's Defense" in the description. Can anyone tell me if this applies to Magical Defense, or is it just physical?
Ignore Target's Defense applies to melee attacks, spells in D2 don't miss, unlike in D1. Elemental melee attacks (fire damage, poison etc.) will apply only if the actual melee attack hits, and ITD allows for melee attacks to always have a 95% chance to hit. Seeing how the higher the target's defense, the lower the chance to hit. ITD just bypasses their defense and allows for a constant 95% chance.

I looked in to this, and I see where the miscommunication occurred. When you say miss, I thought that you meant me exercising my horrible aim. I should wide with that spell all the time - however, I see now what you meant (hitting, but missing, as it were ... I think.)
I remember in pre-LOD when ITD mod still worked in pvp some people that got a hand to a high damage ITD divine scepter made some pretty nasty BvB barbs with them. Stacked with huge amount of vita and hitting with almost every hit they were lethal
Thanks!
