The last time I played D2 I got really bored and tried to make one of my mules, a barb, be the fastest character possible. I equipped him with everything I could find that increases speed and maxed the increase speed skill and the barbarian ended up being faster than every assassin or sorceress who agreed to race me.
All that was just a really long winded introduction for me to ask; has anybody ever mathematically figured out what character can move the fastest?
Assassins were pretty easy to beat, especially if I used frenzy. Although I don't think they were specifically built for speed like my character so I'm not sure if they could be faster.
I'm not sure about racing a sorceress. When I had several hits in a row with frenzy my barb might have gone faster but I'm not sure. A sorceress would probably be faster and a lot more practical if you had to make any turns.
I wish I still had my D2 disks so I could try it again.
My vote goes for any character with high FCR and teleport skill. But if it doesn't count the barbarian is surely faster because he have 2 skills that buff his movespeed (unlike the asn with just one).
add me if you want to^^

I'm gonna put my highrune in your socket
flyarion, flyarion_third, flyarion_fourth, flyarion_fifth

Because I'd think a Sorceress with 200% FCR would be the fastest.

That would be all Hammerdins, seeing how they need to max vigor as a synergy to blessed hammer.
They get pretty fast, but nowhere near the fastest.
