So ... I've played D2 on and off again for years and years and years, but I've never known.
What does TW stand for?
Doing a google search results in 1 forum thread on diii.net with people just guessing about it, and the only one that makes any sense would be "Town Watch" for looking for a Diablo Clone, but even that doesn't make much sense with the types of games you see it in. Maybe it stands for Tweak?
...
TW Trade
TW-Baal runs
TW - PvP/Duels
TW Rush
And it's on both USWest and USEast...
If you don't know for sure, don't toss out obvious guesses please, just looking for a confirmed answer from someone that knows... in attempt to thwart guessing, here's what it's not:
Unless it's a clan with a TON of members, and no other clans bother to make games with their name in the title, it's not a clan.
It doesn't stand for Taiwan.
It doesn't stand for Tele-Walk: Why would you have a tele-walk trade game or pvp?
Anyway, I figured a ton of people on here could probably answer this for me - thanks.

at any rate TW games always have seem to have asian gamers in them, so i think it's some tag to represent nationality (so they can identify someone in their own language to trade/play with

I just assumed it wasn't Taiwan because it's in all sorts of different game types and usually everyone in there speaks English just fine. But yeah... I could see how it could be a tag to let others know they can speak their language if they come in and want to trade/talk/whatever. That could make sense.
As for Team Work - I'm guessing that's just people assuming they know what it means. "Team Work Trades" doesn't really make much sense. Nor does "Team Work PvP."
So yeah, guess it must be a Taiwan tag. Still though... why aren't there tags from others for their language? Korean, Chinese, and Japanese tags should be popping up all over then, too, shouldn't they?

Well I remember back in the day, I think this was even before Lod, on Europe servers there were always French games all over the place. And I think some German ones too. Annoying thing was they didn't always tag it appropriatly and then you'd be in a game where you didn't know wtf they were talking about xD
whenever you talk it always looks like your cat is talking xD
the all knowing cat of infinite knowledge xDXDXDXD
also thats the thing about europe
they got like a billion frickin languages xD
what is the standard language in europe id assume it would be like chinese or english
what is the standard language in europe id assume it would be like chinese or english
Er... I'd wager the % of the European population that speaks Mandarin (Chinese) is something like... 0.005% :-p
China is in Asia...
English is the most widely spoken language throughout Europe.
While almost every country in Europe has their own official language (a few countries have picked up another country's language as their official one).
Dutch in Belgium
English in England
French in France
Italian in Italy
German in Germany
Swedish in Sweden/Finland
Danish in Denmark
...and the list goes on.
But as for the most predominately spoken language, most people in Europe speak English, (something like 50%), followed by German, French, Italian, and Spanish.
Quite a few people speak Russian, too, because of the former USSR's grip on Eastern Europe.
Anyway, there's your language lesson for the day :-p

how would anyone speak taiwanese over bnet? i dont think bnet has characters in it. and spelling it out wont work either since there are multiple meanings for the same sounding words.
tw must be some huge clan.
