The only reason that the Act 2 Boss is so hard is cause people fight him at lvl 10. Try spending the time leveling your character and then he falls just as fast as the rest.
I can honestly say I've never actually seen anyone try to fight him at level 10. Ever. Or at least in my 8 years of Battle.net. That's really pushing your luck, fighting him at level 10 ._.
no you're right
whoever said differently was just confused.
you have to clear all 3 bosses and then open all the seals and then any other mobs remaining in the chaos sanc (including extra bosses other than infector, vizier, deseis) will poof.
then .. "not even death can save you from me" = diablo
the only way that diablo can be spawned otherwise is if there's a soj count in the game and then it says diablo walks the earth.. then you can spawn him as one of the bosses (infector/vizier/deseis) if that's the first boss you encounter. (done that a few times .. in public games it's the best way to ensure you get him because only you have the power to summon him with a click)

serving only to ensure absolute vulnerability to the pain of their inevitable absence.

Each boss needs to be fought in a special way but a general characteristic is that you can safely go up close, whack the boss a bit and then quickly retreat. A slow but safe way of getting the job done. Even if you are using a ranged attack you must constantly move.
Old Mephs in Act III is the easiest in this respect in that he doesn't really chase you down but it is still advisable to avoid his hits if only to avoid having to TP back to town for more pots. The Big D in Act IV gives you heaps of time between his waves but heaven help you if he manages to scorch you. Any in Act 1 requires that you don't be stingy on healing pots and that you keep moving fast but not towards the staircase, LOL. Baal simply requires patience and that you move around a lot.
But Duriel, the grub, has so little room to move that you really have to be very careful to not get greedy with hitting him and that you score a couple of quick hits only, and then move. With Duriel then timing of when you run is much more important. The big D gives a brief warning and you have a whole Sanctuary to run around. At least Duriel can only run in a straight line and is unable to chase you from one side to the other. And will chase you everywhere while Diablo can't go down the passage ways.
So Duriel requires technique, like the others, but with him the timing of your attacks and retreats is vital due to the limited room to move.

So we've got over the problem of colour in D3. Great. Now let's argue about everything else not yet set in stone and help make this game simply great! Game on.

Though this is a one good strategy for spawning Diablo Clone, I prefer to head to Nihlathak's temple because it is a nice, confined area where he has nowhere to run.
Not really man. Everyone has a single player guy including me and I'm not depressed when I play him. Depends on situation like being at a place with no internet or playing in car/plane. If your a true Diablo fan single player is still fun. Boom
Yep, getting from Kurast to Travincal (or at least Lower Kurast IMO) is a real grind. And for no real gain. But fighting the Council in SP in normal with your new character is the first real skill test IMO. You get pwned quick smart if you just run right to the end of the path in a big rush. With a small amount of skill though the outcome is very different.

Playing D2 in single player in 2009 is very possibly the most depressing thing I've ever heard of.
Gonna go ahead and agree with you.
