Personally i find the necromancer easiest to play with coz you can summon all these skeleton guardians and just stand back from danger while casting decreptify. Its very usefull for playing on hardcore with dial-up internet lol
Barb has always been easiest for me... Necro would come in a close second.

It's hard for me to choose which character is easiest for me (they're all about the same), though I think it highly depends on the build.
For example, I made my first Hammerdin at the beginning of this ladder season (which I will never do again), and have had no problems breezing through the game with crappy gear. However, if I were to build a bow-wielding Paladin with similar gear, chances are I'd get slaughtered.
The same holds true for a lightning Sorceress versus a fire melee Sorceress, or any character for that matter.
I picked barbarian because I just love to go into groups of monsters head on. I tried a paladin, but I really hated it. I really thought it was a horrible character, but that is my opinion.

Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings.
Lol, what? I beg to differ. Playing as a Barbarian can require plenty, especially if you create a Concentrate Barb, as opposed to creating a lame Whirlwind Barb.
For Normal: Assassin
For Normal/Nightmare: Amazon-Sorceress - Barb
For Norma/Nightmare/Hell: Paladin (tricky) - Sorceress - Barb
Overall, a Sorceress would be good, but is boring for me. I rather choose an Assassin or a Barbarian.
I voted Barbarian. Granted, I only play PvE in Diablo but it took me FOREVER to kill Diablo with my Necromancer. It could my style of play (minions) but he definitely gave me one hell of a time.
it is at best if you focus on one shapeshifting skill, e.g. if you plan to go werebear, werebear all the way, dont waste any single point on wolf tree skills except lycan.

in dont know about lod. but classic after act 2 normal summons became pritty much useless except for a decent golem or maybe revive if it was done right. but i guess having pets would making things easier on a dialup connection.
Sorceress, teleport without Enigma and find Waypoints easy. Mf without Enigma

to be specific wind druid heh
i loved the class
Glad D3 will be out!
A) Summoner just stay there and watch your minions do the job, maybe cast a curse or two
Boner can solo in Hell fast enough and without the need of an expensive gear. Bone Prison and Bone Shield are also great to help you staying alive.
