My favorite is Rogue.
I think Sisters is my second favorite. (both of these actually comprise "town1.wav" in the d2music.mpq file on the CD-ROM.)
But I gotta say, I love the soundtracks to both games; intensely so. The number one reason why I bought an iPod was so I could carry the Diablo soundtracks with me where ever I go.
I'm also a fan of Tristram. I especially love how it was incorporated in Diablo II; as he dies, you can hear a few chords of Tristram playing. It's almost like killing him has brought vengeance against the people of Tristram, and their souls can finally rest (until Diablo III, that is; poor bastards).
The songs in Act V are also pretty nice. They seem a bit more epic than the rest of the game's music, but that's probably because it's the area of the "final" battle.
Out of curiousity, is it just me, or are there bits and pieces of the original Diablo catacombs music playing in the catacombs of Act II (specifically, the heavy drumming parts)? It's been awhile, so I'm not entirely sure (and I can't be half-assed to check at the moment).
i like angel of death and raining blood by slayer and a bunch of other songs

"You are like a rose in a great rose field. Each rose is so beautiful to me. But if one dies... I can still look at many other roses..." God of Darkness.

You heard correctly. That sort of thing happens all throughout the Diablo II soundtrack. I think that's a big reason why I like the Rogue Encampment theme so much; being a variation on the Tristram theme.
Tristram is quite exellent but as a whole I'm gonna go with the music to the finale in Act V. I really hope Matt Uleman does the soundtrack for the third game, I loved all his work in the Diablo series.
Personally, I like "Leoric" the most...

Yeah. You know that musicky-soundin' stuff you hear while you're playing?
LOL. Amazingly hilarious in its own way. Anyway, my favorite song would be the one that plays in Harrogath.
It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.

Well I thought there was a separate CD of just the songs for diablo. In that case, I guess I like tristram.

*pats FBIm4 on the head and sends him on his way*
Well, there is an OST, but I'd imagine it's just ripped from the game. It's available for download, if you're into that kind of thing.
Diablo II can be found here.
Diablo II: Lord of Destruction can be found here.
The original Diablo and Diablo: Hellfire expansion are available there, too.
I have a feeling I'll be using this image a lot.
Bless his heart. He just wasn't paying attention.
You deserve a special kudos for citing a Picard image.
The Rogue Camp is also a really great track. I love the sounds reminiscent of Tristram that are woven into it.
