Does anyone have an educated guess as to what the system specs for Diablo 4 will be? I found this list online but it doesn’t say what it’s based on. I also think this list seems excessive for a diablo game. D3 requires very little to run at 60+ FPS on ultra. Only a GTX 260. I know it’s almost 10 years later but the graphics I saw didn’t seem too crazy of an improvement so I don’t see D4 needing this type of power:
Those seem reasonable like reasonable guesses. I know it will not have any impact on guessing the requirements and some of this is overkill for max settings, but just for the record the demo PCs were running 9900k and rtx 2080s with 32 gb ram.

Really? That’s crazy excessive lol. But nice to know, thanks man!
I think minimum requirements of a Gen9 Intel processor is way over to the top. Don't even think it will be a Gen9 processor for the recommended specs.
Gpu wise I think you are over the top aswell, blizzard is very good at making games that run good on potato powered pc's.
Ya exactly. None of blizzards games are that graphic intensive. Even when they first come out. Personally I’ll be playing D4 on a 60in TV on ultra settings so I’ll want a decent video card, but I still don’t think I’ll need anything that crazy.
Do you think you’ll buy a new Comp before it comes out? Or what you got now will be enough?
I'm running a i7 4790k with a gtx 970 atm, so yeah, I think I will have upgraded before the end of time when d4 releases :-D
Hardy har har. We’re getting it by 2021 Dropz! Mark my words! Also I doubt you’ll even need to upgrade for it, 980 is good. I bought a cheap pre-built for $500 on Black Friday. Has an I3-9100 and GTX 1060. I mean if we even need to upgrade it won’t be by much. And In 2 years the 1070s and 80s will probably be real cheap.

Predicted Minimum Requirements,
Predicted Recommended Requirements,
Again this isn’t my list, I personally think you could have a much slower CPU and only like a regular GTX 1050 Or lower to play D4 on max settings.
heres a comparison of the official required GPU for D3 compared to a GTX 1050 -
