I have a question about the damage type of GoET. From what I see in forum posts, people are saying this gem applies poison damage to the target. However, when I look at the gem, the text says "Poison all enemies hit for XXXX weapon damage." Does the poison at the beginning just override this, and turn it in to poison damage? Or, if your weapon does fire damage, will this gem apply fire damage?
Damage type comes from the skill you use, not your weapon. So if you're a monk using "hands of lightning", then you're damage type will be lightning.
the GoET is a separate damage source, so if you're a monk using "hands of lightning", each time you smack a monster you'll do your skills normal damage, and then also do the GoET damage.
I just wanted to clarify, because on some gems, such as WoL, says "dealing XXX weapon damage as lightning", or MToS says "XXXX weapon damage as holy". GoET doesn't clarify what type of damage, it just says weapon damage, which is why I was curious as to what type of damage it actually does.

Regardless of the skill used to trigger it, the GoET deals poison damage.
So when you get it to rank 25, everything you hit will take the extra 10% damage.
Ok, thanks for the clarification.
