since Reaper of Souls, Magic Find is a close to useless stat on items. Let's say you have 100% magic find on your gear total, it will only increase your chance to find a Legendary/Set item by 10%, so theoretical 1% becomes 1.1%, In reality its more like 0.01% becomes 0.011%
also, there's barely any items left with Magic Find anyway, Blizzard stated they weren't happy with the whole system so they kinda squished it, so people don't feel the need to fit 300%MF on their gear like people did in D3classic, not to speak of the annoyance of MF gear swaps before elite kills that a lot of people practised (yuck)
just focus on gearing for killspeed and enough toughness to handle the highest difficulty setting that feels effective for your character
(btw in Torment 6 u get a 1600% MF increase, so 100% MF from items would be a minor increase but nothing game-changing)
not to discourage you from using your MF items, keep them if they're decent, just don't skip upgrades just because it means losing MF.
tl;dr it's not useless, stop spreading misinformation. In general you're looking at Cain's and Nagel. There are a few other items, but not worth the trouble. MF is 100% effective for blues, 30% effective for yellows, and 10% effective for legendaries. If you could somehow get 300% (impossible without legacy gear as far as I know), that would be 30% more legendaries, which is quite a bit actually.
30% is 30%. Doesn't matter if it's 1% vs 1.3%, it's still a 30% increase. L2multiply.
Anyway, yes it's useful but there isn't much gear left that allows you to stack it.
yeah but it's a difference between 1600% and 1630%. You're better off gearing for an easier T6 run, instead of being less efficient and having slightly more MF. MF% doesn't affect Torment bonuses.
Gold Find is multiplicative with the torment bonus.
Experience and Magic Find are additive. And Magic Find is very much reduced in effectiveness for finding legends. Realistically MF is trash. Whether ot not the torment bonus is subject to the same reduction is another discussion to be had (it probably is, but torment has a secondary multiplier).

No, it's not 30%. 30% bonus ontop of 1600% is less than a 2% increase. It's additive, not multiplicative.
Magic find. Not gold find. Check your character window. Your magic find on T6 (or any difficulty for that matter) is at 0% by default.
Please show a blue link anywhere that states mf is additive.
A lot of people confuse gold find% (multiplicative with gold find%) with xp (additive with xp% from difficulty) with mf (multiplicative with the internal magic find bonus per difficulty which is unknown).
I'm looking for the best gear with magic find, can anyone tell me the name of the best items?.
I'm using the lvl 23/70 set of Cain's with Nagelring atm.
(sorry for my bad english btw)
