Either way, Taeguk is fucking annoying. It gives you roughly 22.5% damage at rank 25. The bonus is the armor, but that only has impact in high stacks. Which means, if you're still stacking it when the pack falls, it did you almost no good.
I was so relieved of it's burden when I switched it out for a better gem. No more popping it as I go along, only to goof up and hit it a split second too late.
Taeguk will likely receive some revision, most likely by adding a second or two to the stack duration. I noticed when running it and Goguk at the same time, how often and easily I could keep Goguk up with only 1 more second on it's stack time.
BTW: These names are just awful. They hit the ear all wrong, my tongue doesn't even want to say Goguk and Taeguk. Awkward words.
Those are korean words, that's why they sound so strange. I wouldn't say aweful, because if you say them right, they have a neat sound.
Figures. I shit you not, the first thing that crossed my mind when I read the words "Taeguk, Goguk and Mirinae" .....godzilla monsters. Ya know, like Mothra and whatnot. Just....terrible. I speak Murican, dammit!!! Don't need no foreign words cluttering my Murican mans screen.
Maybe Taeguk will get a revision, but not in the direction that you want it to have, because it is simply not made for builds like Woh Wizard or Innas SW spam. This gem is made for channeling spells. That's why they lowered the duration from 4 to 3 seconds with the last change of this gem. It wouldn't surprise me if they changed it in the future so that only channeling spells can stack it up.
Oh wow, they actually consciously lowered it in PTR? What a terrible choice for diversity in use, but I'm sure some builds/classes are using it. Myself, I ran it for a time on my Shotgun Crus. It stacked up relatively well, but I grew very tired of keeping it stacked between battles. Like a thorn in my toe, I was relieved to remove it.
I really don't like this gem, it is too slow to ramp up, and once it is up you need to micromanage it like crazy so it won't fall off.
Even with channeling spells it feels awful.

Cuz....that sounds like shit design to me. I got sick of priming the goddamn thing and threw it in the shit-can.
