My question is, do other classes posses builds as powerful as the ones above? Can my Monk ever reach this level of effectiveness? I currently don't play a WD but am now considering on playing one.
You forget to mention he have cerimonial knife starmetal kukri (build changer) making the pet build much more awesome.
Starmetal kukri+zuni set+tasker and theo+ mask of jeram = build changer.
Starmetal and tasker and theo is so rare. Dont get one yet.
Maybe if i'm lucky enough i get one starmetal with more 100hours played on t4.
Like anyone would know if its being nerf'd? Why should it be nerf'd? I would say try farming for it, and then you will realize how lucky and difficult it is to piece together. I am 400+ hrs in and have 2 pieces.
Barbs better IMO, although more reliant on the double reduction from IK pets bug + unity... Once either of those are fixed WD will be top for sure. Rest of the classes are defiantly lacking behind atm in comparison, hope they get buffed.

Its very difficult to get all pieces, you need lots of farming hours and thats why those builds are great.
BUT best class?? I dont think so! Theres a lot of skills that are useless, passives too. The class design is not good at all, thats why you need so much powerfull items that changes how you play the class. Blizzard "fixed" the class with items and sets bonus.

Ya i can only imagine how hard it would be to fine the jade 6 set piece and the helm... could take months or even years
They are insanely OP. Pets just scale to well and they have an abundance of OP items.
I switched from a Crusader to a WD and absolutely love it. I was extremely lucky and got 3 pc Zunis in my first 20 hours of farming and be able to do T6 in that short amount of time (makes up for 120 hours on Crusader and 0 set items)
Only decent pieces of gear I've got are: Zuni boots/offhand/ring (awful rolls) and a MoJ. I've spent ~13K shards on gloves so far and have got 3 frostburns but still no tasker and theo. Once I get tasker and theo i'll start trying for a starmetal kukri.
With my current shit gear i'm pulling 50M dps and 75M burst with BBV up. With optimal gear this build would be more than capable of pulling consistant 100M dps and having close to 50-75% uptime on BBV.
The items synergise so well and pets scale stupidly well.
I have 8-12 fetishes up hitting for ~7M (~12M in optimal gear). 3 dogs hitting for a pathetic 600K (1M in optimal gear) but with 10K LoH i'm also getting healed constantly for about 20-30K hps which is nice for face tanking stuff in T6. All these pets are great for tanking mobs and proper use of piranhado stuff will never be near you. You'll never die with proper use of spirit walk and the occasional spirit vessel proc. This build is all about staying alive as you can prioritise staying alive without a massive loss to your dps. Not channeling firebats is only a 30% dps loss so you can literally just afk and still be doing 70% of your maximum dps - very OP.
Starmetal Kukri is such a great item - if you're running wth 2 x Zuni WDs with it you've got close to 100% uptime on BBV which is a great buff.
CC from piranhado, pet tanks, 15% dmg (piranhado), 25% AS/30% dmg (BBV) - what's not to love about havign a WD in your party.

Liars are the worst. Your entire lie post is contributing nothing constructive to this topic.
The thing is that Fetish WD is much stronger than other classes, WD was overpowered from the very start, I had already realized it during the first week.
I personally just can't see any other reason for you to disagree with me than you being blinded by love for your wd.
What makes this even more stupid is that wd doesn't even have to put himself into any threat if he doesn't wish to...................
EDIT: Oh, lookie it's shaggy the justice!
I presented my first post in totally mannered and constructive manner without doing using any smart remarks.
I tried to present some proof and reasons why I think WD needs a severe nerf and that's it.
There is nothing more to it than that, nothing to be butthurt over, especially towards other forum users, WD or other classess.
On the other hand, I'm pretty butthurt to Blizzard for ruining an awesome game, but that's an entirely different matter and involves much more than just this.
Can you please try to contribute into this discussion something more fruitful than an obvious taunts.
Shaggy always responds with a taunt and / or sarcasm. All we can do is just ignore him and continue our conversations without de-railing the topic.

No, I actually somewhat agree with you on this topic. There probably should be some balance, although the WD tends to be very reliant on gear to be *that* good. You just think I am like that because I disagreed with the daily RNG whine threads you made. But you, as well as the other guy, have to learn this isn't battle.net and that shit isn't welcome here.
If you want to discuss the merits of balance, let's talk about that. Let's analyze exactly how good that guy's gear is, etc. Let's have discussion about equally-geared WDs using those two specs versus other classes
If someone wants to demand "severe nerfs" to a class, though, that shit has no place here. Not every WD is rolling amazing gear capable of T6 here. I know I'm not. So it's a product of how the gear interacts with the skills and that requires a far more nuanced solution than just massively nerfing WDs.
In fact, the DoT build that guy was using, the "problem" almost assuredly comes from the interaction between the set bonus and the Creeping Death passive, yes? If you were just to "severely nerf" WDs as the other guy demanded, you'd be doing way more harm than good. Yes?
EDIT
The legendary mask, if used, probably also has something to do with it, huh?

Well i'm glad we finally see eye to eye about something ; )

What do you guys think?
In terms of damage? No, never, literally won't come anywhere close to a pet WD. But you'll be loved as a buff bitch in groups.
WD is definitely in a very good spot right now in my opinion. There are two main paths you can go for (dot / pet) and gearing up correctly can get you up to t6 unlike certain other classes right now (monk?). The thing is, that even without the best items in all slots, the pet build is very effective and quite not so gear dependant in relation to other classes on lower torments (like t1-t3).
The dps numbers mentioned earlier are probably calculated against a single target (ghom) if i'm not mistaken, so that's not really an indication to your effective dps while rifting for an example because fetishes tend to scatter out and attack multiple targets. It is true though, that you can fully surround a rift guardian and simply stomp him with all of your fetishes + garg.
I'd say that other classes do need certain buffs to be able to compete with the current WD not in terms of raw strength but more in terms of flexibility build wise. As a WD, you can have different skills that can support your dot / pet build. I think other classes are a bit more limited in that sense at the moment.
I really hope Blizzard won't nerf anything and just buff everything else up. I am not sure if the dot builds are actually overpowered or not because i have not accumulated enough gear to test one out yet.
I still believe that people tend to overlook certain builds and item combinations and prematurely declare classes as not t6 viable. An exploding palm monk should be t6 viable in my opinion but i can't really confirm that because my monk is still level 60. It kinda sucks how wd is indeed the flavor of the month but i am guilty of rerolling a wd too since i've only started playing it like 2 weeks ago or so.
Now to a personal jab at the OP, i cant believe i'm taking one of your threads seriously but the wd subject interests me greatly atm so here i am
I'm on the fence about this. Nerfing is bad, but people re-rolling to another class is even worse.
I guess Blizzard should dig into the numbers a bit and see how many players are actually rerolling to a WD. If it turns out that indeed many do, i think there is something wrong. I don't think any class should be allowed to dip below 15% of the active player base. When they do, they require a buff.
Even if it's just flavor of the month responsible for this, then it's Blizzards responsibility to offer up some new variety on the menu.
