This is one thing i've been excited to see since I heard of it, I knew it would be rare but god damn... Between me and my clan mates we've got at least 2000 separate rifts and if I were to include people on my friends list then it's likely over 5000 but not one of us has seen the cow level even once, just how rare is it?!


That is to say, could you maybe say how many rifts you have done, if and when you found the cow rift maybe get some sort of average for it. Personally i've done 700 and yet to find it.

By cow rift, you mean the rifts with the whimsyshire characters in it? I have them 2-3 times. I've not had a rift take place in the land of whimsyshire, with those characters or otherwise.

No, the cow rift consists of the cowmen from D2, as well as the Lord of Bells for the final boss of the rift. It's a kill many many many people are missing for the achievement because the chance is SO LOW to even get into it.

Pretty sure I got king of bells killed on my toon, though you should look me up to be sure, can't login atm to check. I do know that between all people in my clan and on friends list, I am probably the only one to have seen this particular rift, and I was invited into a group that had it up, never seen it myself.



As to how rare it is, well I don't spamrun rifts, but I have done a fair amount (say 500 or so) of them, so yeah, pretty god damn rare.

However, if you're just after this achievement, it's probably faster to spam open rifts and just have a look inside if there's cows, and if not, recreate your game?

I have no idea how many rifts I've done but it has to be close to a 1000 or something and I've only ever seen the rift once, which i got on maybe my fifth rift on the second day of RoS.

If you view your profile it actually displays just how many rifts you've completed, along with bounties, monsters killed, elites killed, gold collected and shards collected :D.

I managed to somehow get it. I didn't even realize what it was, because I don't usually pay much attention as I WW through everything...then I realized everything looked the same...then I realized they were Bovine haha...pretty comical once I realized what I was happening

It was actually my fav rift because both the last piece I needed for full set bonus IK and EQ dropped for me on it.

Had no idea there was a cow rift until I read this thread, then ran into with a group about five rifts later. I've probably run about 200-300 rifts, and haven't seen anyone else in my clan get the achievement

Can't believe i've never noticed that, thanks guys. 500 rifts then with 1 cow. the first level also had an event that said something a long the lines of "you had better milk it for all it's worth" and gave me like half a paragon level at paragon ~160

around 1200 rifts on my main account. around 580-90 on my "i wanna be alone" account. Not one cow rift yet

1155 rifts completed, no cows.
