Just another idea that i think would be awesome in the game. Wouldn't it be nice if "loose stones" would have a chance to uncover a hidden passage that leads to a cave of treasure goblins??
Just a small map with a few packs of treasure goblins where you have to kill as many as possible before the Goblin King arrives. The more goblins you kill the easier the Goblin King is.
Goblin King would be on a timer like any regular goblin but if you are lucky enough to kill him before he says "weeeee" and jumps through the portal he drops loot with an increased magic find of like 500%.
I like this idea. In general, stuff like this will only make the game more interesting.
I was kinda disapointed to find out that the rift monsters from act 5 battlefields only spawn there and not in rifts too... Could be interesting to have a mini dungeon inside a rift... A rift inside a rift, riftception
I just wish loose stones, corpses, barrels, chests, etc. were trapped, so that sometimes they spawn acid clouds, do fire damage, drop boulders, etc. Or even summon champ packs. That would make things far more interesting.
Just clicking a loose stone and hearing some magical noise and revealing a hidden passage sounds almost as good to me as a legendary dropping. Now top all that off will getting a pack of goblins.. whether you get a beam (legendary) or not you win b/c the magic of something like this is epic and i think thats what this game lacks.. it doesnt really have little things like this that make you go good job blizz i didnt see that coming.. i think the game as a whole is good but there is so many little things they can do to polish it and make it great. all the ideas im posting are in the game already so its not like it would be that hard to implement them.. even with my rift idea.. its all there in the game its just how you present it.
I think this is a bad idea. At least in it's current form of revealing a cave of goblin packs. I already feel like I'm missing out on loot if I don't open every chest or destroy every breakable I find, as I get more legendaries from those than actually killing monsters. I don't want to also feel like I miss out if I don't click every loose stone too. Then we might as well remove all the monsters and just make the game all about clicking stuff around the world. :/

wow really?? wouldnt want a chance at finding that awesome cave full of goblins.. i mean as it stands now loose stones are pretty useless and i mean who cares if you miss a few here and there its just a little surprise for those times you remembered to click on em.. i dont know how many vases or barrels i miss hitting in the game but that once in a blue moon when i do hit them and that beautiful beam drops.. just a nice little surprise.

This ideology of missing the "loot that might have been" amuses me. You're worried about not hitting a loose stone that might uncover another path that has a goblin that might drop something other than gem/gem/arcane dust/arcane dust/yellow/yellow.
Sounds like you have been playing a little bit too much of Wildstar
This is spot on. I think an injection of random Wildstar events into a game like Diablo 3 would not only be sweet, but fits perfectly. Something above and beyond Moontooth Dreadshark being guaranteed to pop outta some rubble. They've forced Rifts on us as the only (read: most efficient) way to farm because they're not exploitable, but there's a fair amount of complaints because of their monotony. Bounties are a means to an end (Rifts), so added things like this "goblin cave" could have merit. I think TIMED dungeons with ultra-hard end bosses and no rez save through a friendly player is the way to go to add excitement to the game.

I'm glad I amuse you
My point is, I already feel it's more beneficial to just open chests and destroy breakables for loot even though I never do chest runs specificly. I'm sure most people know by now that most loot drop from those rather than packs of mobs, as my friends and I can't be the only ones seeing this. Adding yet another thing to watch for and click whenever you see it to be most optimal when hunting for loot, just ruin the game even more imo. As I see it, Diablo should be about killing monsters to get rewards and upgrades. The more we move the most rewarding gameplay away from killing packs of monsters, towards having to click and destroy static objects, the more boring the game will be imo. I don't mind the chance of getting stuff from those things. But when it's THE best way to get stuff, I feel the game has taken a wrong turn somewhere.
I'm sorry for ranting a little, but this is one of the single most annoying things about the game atm as far as I'm concerned.
Edit: Loose stones already has a chance of dropping loot btw. I got my latest templar relic from one of those. That should be enough.
well since you're already clicking on loose stones anyway why not have the chance to get the awesome cave.. with monsters (goblins) that you have to kill for a chance at loot.. and if you are just completely against it then thats fine too.. maybe you should check out my other post about buying rift upgrades since thats what blizz is basically forcing everyone to run anyway..
1) Ever pass by a single mob in hunt of a larger pack?
2) Fully explore a map, even though you found the door leading onward - eradicating all life before proceeding?
3) Continue completing even after the rift boss is downed?
I'm largely doubtful all three are true, which means you're missing out on possible loot... and kinda makes your points moot.
Why does it have to be goblins? Why couldn't it vary? If we are assuming the portal or whatever leads to one solitary room, I would still go if the room was just absolutely packed with a trash mob (like 75-100 monsters). Go down there, liquidate the place, get the exp, and pop back out. Maybe 1/50 would have a goblin or an E pack too.
