I fail to see how this has any impact on you personally whatsoever. Join the rest of us Farming Torment and ignore the people who don't want set items.
I got this on Master difficulty, I think that there might be a bug that allows Set pieces to drop on lower difficulty levels than Torment.
You can get that on any, it's specific class set bonuses you can only get on Torment 1+, for example Tal rasha's set can only be obtained on torment difficulty, while blackthorn can be obtained on any.

I like how the people exploiting this try to just define it as another valid "play style".
It sounds just like those people exploiting the quests that could be completed in 30 seconds as just another valid "play style".
By their definition, running a bot or hacking your character is just another valid "Play style".
I'm not defending anyone i'm just saying that you are complaining about nothing important here.
No matter what Blizzard will do, some people will achieve an edge over others. The fact that this bothers you is a problem with you and not in the game in my opnion.
And no i don't farm on normal. Maybe some split bag farming with some of my noob real life friends. Only completed like 60 bounties since release.
Should they "fix" T1 so I go forward to a higher tier? The exp bonus is nice but nothing I would take for the slower farm rate. To accomplish that, they have to incrase the legendary rate so that we can notice it.
As you can see this issue will always be there unless they change all difficultys again, for someone Tx will always be like "normal" and he will comfortable playing it instead of T6.
Maybe it's a different mindset of people in your clan then. I checked the roster Sunday afternoon on our clan (Dfans EU), and saw only on group doing T1, 2 groups doing runs below Torment, and all the other people doing Torment 2-5 adventure mode farming.
If your gear is that good that T1 is a faceroll, not everyone wants to stay T1 forever. Actually, it's kinda boring if the first person in a rift one-shots everything and you never see anything, so sometimes everyone agrees that we really have to step up the difficulty. Is it worth it? Who knows. But no one cares. It's just not fun running T1 with four people with >1m sheet DPS as three of them are useless.
People should be running a difficulty commensurate with their current gear
1) A hypothetical character, a glass canon who can kill elites on Torment 6 in two seconds, but dies on a single attack from the most basic creatures on Master. On which difficulty should this character play?
2) Another hypothetical character, a tank who literally can't die on Torment 6, but can't kill even the spimpliest creature without a 1-minute fight on Master. On which difficulty should it play?
And more importantly, why should we prevent these characters from grouping up with other people (glass cannon with tank, tank with a better dps) to go for higher difficulties?
why dont blizzard just change the whole concept of the difficulty? we dont get any difference betwen T1 and T6. Maybe if ppl could get a bigger window of MAX stats on items. Like T1 give u like 300-400 dex on a piece -> T2 give u like 300-450 dex -> T3 300-500 dex and so on. Just an example. Same for other stats, like i read in some random place there is no need to farm gear on T6 when u can get EXACLTY same loot on T1, and u can farm it more efficiantly. Blizzards just dont "push" ppl to farm higher difficulties, wich dont bring depth to the game. Maybe with the "strategy" i am sugesting, as long of tons of other good sugestions the game would be a lot greater then it already is.
All in all the game difficulty is just not rewarding to play on max difficulty.
I just hit 70 last night with my monk, because that is the amount of time I have for D3 at the moment. I would not play this game, if I had to spend countless of hours just to get to the point of slaying monsters in a pace I was comfortable with. I like blowing things up fast, and I adjust the difficulty level to that, its how I like to play my monk.
You can call me normal-hero all you want, but I really don't care. If you have 4-6+ hours a day for Diablo, fine, but I settle with 2 at most. And here you are, calling me names for enjoying the game in a mode I prefer..
This guy has been making Q_Q people farm the easy stuff posts for a while now. I dont think it requires any attention. Let people play the game they want to play and you play the way you want to play. Its a fucking video game in which loot isnt even trade-able for the most part (via cache's especially), what integrity would you prefer to see in an online game?
^ You can enjoy playing the way you want, but don't be surprised if people look down on you for playing on normal...
So does that mean he should look up to people playing higher than normal? I just dont get why anyone gives a flying fk about what someone else does in this game, it does not affect them anymore in the slightest bit.

Hehe, I dont look up or down on people. But I want to state that from my point of view, since he was pleading to Blizzard to make this game harder for a casual (harder as in, no pain no gain / no 100hours played no fun).
I've played games since Amiga, the thing is, I simply do not want to invest too much time into Diablo. When I have holiday, I go far away from computers, when it's sunny, I go outside, but I still love computer games.
Don't worry, I'll still play the higher torments, it just takes a little longer for me to get there, not because I'm retarded, but because of time spent in game. This is NOT a hard game, its a great time consuming game where things blow up. I love it
What I'm more interested in is why people even care in the first place. There's no competition or ladders in this game. What one person do does nothing, absolutely NOTHING, to your gaming experience.
If people find it fun grinding normal to get gear, let them. Why is it bothering you?
Considering ladder is confirmed as well as some sort of challenges, your point is moot.
Anything in this game is a challenge for you? Gear is a gate for doing higher difficulty, sure. But none of it is "hard" on softcore, you can die without penalty and pick up where you left off. I think you just need to stop being a whiny bitch about what OTHER PEOPLE do in the game that DOESNT AFFECT YOU. Leave them alone if they want to play a different difficulty than you think they should. Maybe you should tell them what to do all the time though, you might know what's best for everyone.
Wow...it's amazing how upset and vicious people get when someone suggest that maybe their free shit should be taken away.
You all sound just like the worst type of stereotypical welfare queens.
So if you're going to play on a difficulty that provides no challenge or danger to you...why do you need legendaries at all?
Wanna know why? because most of you are going to prance around in public games with that gear and act like you did something to earn it.
You really need to get over yourself. Stop caring so much about what other people do in a video game and you might enjoy the game for yourself. It's people like you that ruin gaming communities because of your need to feel superior.
One of the fundamental axioms of RPG gaming has always been risk vs. reward. Just because the current generation got a trophy for just showing up doesn't change that.
If mocking the self esteem generation is me trying to be superior, well, I guess I am.

This has nothing to do with self esteem. You're using that as the scapegoat here to try and support your need to feel superior by making people play the game the way you think it should be played. One of the axioms of current video games is that people can play the game the way they want to. Telling people they're playing the game wrong in this case is not only ignorant but telling that you have some sort of superiority complex.

You can really stop trying to play internet psychologist. I know Blizzard never intended for people who far outgear it to farm normal and you know that Blizzard never intended. And yes, it is the self entitled generation who thinks they deserve the best no matter the level of effort put into obtaining it. I don't care how uncomfortable pointing that out makes you.

Try playing on T4-6 and see for yourself. The rewards for the time spent could be really... rewarding.
Of course it's still rng so nothing is guaranteed.

Normal is fast and easy.
T6 is hard and long.
But in the end theres two sides saying normal is bad and noobish and T6 is too try hard and difficult.
JUST.....PLAY.....THE...GAME....THE...WAY...YOU....WANT.
QQing for no reason, way more important things to even consider changing atm.
