I messed around in T2 today and it doesn't seem higher than T1. The game is totally different in T2 though. The ramp up at 60 between T1 and T2 did not seem so severe.

There was 10 monster powers to select from, now we only have 6. In my opinion 6 is infinitely more requiring than mp10 was. With items in their current state, i dont think torment 6 would be viable at all (outside of cheese). What i mean by that, is T6 in our current "tier" of gear will never be time efficient by an means. We would have to get something that rolls higher ranges than the current sets of gear available. I'm damn near full legendary/set items on a wizard and can "do" torment 4, but id never even think of using that difficulty as my "farm" difficulty. I still smash torment 1 because i cant kill the elites on torment 2 as fast as the ones in torment 1. The increase in drop chance would have to scale exponentially in order for it to out weigh the increase in time that it will take to kill elites.

I think you underestimate what best in slot can do.
You can get 125% elemental damage and an additional 45% to a specific spender skill and 30% to a second spender skill. Also, add in a lot more damage from maxed paragon and whatever extra paragon into core points. I do like 8-10 million frozen orb crits (10+ always when grouped with a WD) and I only have 30% cold damage and missing a lot of paragon points. Best in slot will be well over triple or even quadruple what I do right now (at least, that is what I anticipate).

I dont underestimate what any of this does. I have 110% cold/orb damage for my frost wiz and my orbs crit for 12-15m easily. upwards of ~20m depending on black hole stacks. I understand there's still a lot of gear progression to be made for most people. But the gear that IS available, I don't see Torment 6 being efficient in the slightest bit, unless it has a VASTLY superior drop chance than lower torments, that people can damn near 1 shot elite packs.

Group play helps too. Monster hp doesnt scale exactly the same per person. If one person can do T4 or T5 efficiently, then 4 can do T6 efficiently.
Dunno guys I was facerolling T1 so fancied the challenge and went to T2 and my experience so far after about 20 hours is that the legendary drop rate is definitely higher. Maybe it was something that got changed behind closed doors in the recent hotfix.

Yeah I agree it's pretty stupid atm, I mean in T1 I can stand still while 3 elite packs pound on me and barely feel it but in T2 if I get a double pack that can chain 2 ccs (like jailer > frozen) i'm pretty much dead... I wish CC dred, as it's kinda ruining my experience in rifts at higher torments when u do get 2 - 3 packs together and u just get CCed until death >_<

Doubt the exact numbers will ever be known though.
I agree with you Fitsu. It doesn't seem worth it unless it's a drastic increase
