so when 2.0 hit it was a blast. I have never had so much fun playing this game. was playing it for 10 to 16 hours a day. There was actual loot dropping and was useful. And lvling a new toon was fun again. I deleted all my guys on NA region and started walking each class. getting use to new skills and just haven a blast. constant upgrades while lvling. Legs dropping at a good rate. and now. nothing. the drops are no different from normal to torment. wtf is up with that. how is it better to run the game in normal than in torment? 3 days and 2 legs LIKE WHAT THE FUQ!!! I can't even will myself to start it up anymore because it is a waist of time. what the fuq do they do over at blizz. soon as the game starts to be fun they fucken nerv everything..............anyway. they can take ROS and ram it up there fucking ass.
I think the longest time I went without a legendary was about three hours of playtime if that due to the 2 hour safety net for a Legendary drop if it has not. Your chance increases until one is dropped.
I find the drops should not be better on higher difficulties, otherwise it does not make them more difficult. Difficulty should only be used to find the way you like to play the game. Some people like to play at a higher difficulty and others want to find a pace that suits their needs.
If you liked creating a new character why don't you just do that again and then again. Quite often that is how I play ARPG's. I have made thousands of characters for DII and over a thousand for Torchlight II and that game is younger than DIII.
You can also try out Hardcore since creating a new character is likely to happen at some point.

On Strike and supporting Fallout 4 Mod Makers
Some fallout 4 mod makers have had their mods stolen and uploaded and downloaded on Bethesda's site for the Xbox One.
Blizz has stated 2 hours is the norm for a Legendary to drop without ANY MF buff, friends buff, or difficulty buff. I see ONE legendary about every hour on T1-3 and i have MF of 65%. You are guarenteed 1 legendary PER boss kill for your FIRST boss kills. so if you made a new hero and you level him to 60 you should have gotten a legendary from each "main" boss and "sub" boss..example being Skeleton king and butcher. Where as once you hit 60 you get no such reward for constantly killing bosses. That's why you see less as 60 then when you leveled. Even in a 4 man group at 60 i saw 2 legendaries in 1.25 hours. ALSO i'd like to mention that your "time leveling" is shared on all your characters so if you didn't get a leg on your Barb after 2 hours and you swap to your monk, let's say, you should see a drop within the hour on that monk since the time is shared. I've tested this and i spend an hour on my DH with no drop, switch to my WD and 15 minutes later i got one. >.> they are still working out all the bugs and exploits in the game still as well.
I know people will just say RNG is RNG (and it obviously is) but I swear something changed a couple days after the patch dropped....for the first few days I was seeing good loot (mainly useful legendarys that actually rolled decent)
Then suddenly zip zero zilch in terms of upgrades (and I am talking about a whole different character at 60 not the same character that had already got upgrades) and ever since it almost feels like vanilla loot where everything is just utter trash and instantly brim'd (when I actually manage to get one drop)
And it's not really to do with lack of playing since I entered patch at paragon 87 and I'm now 194, something for me at least changed a couple days after the patch and it's really got me not wanting to play ROS when for those first few days I was in love.
I've gone 6 hours without a legendary in this patch. I've also got a legendary in a chest and one from the body right next to it. Farming T6 Cota solo 1-2 minutes per run I average a legendary every 2 hours. Never from the NPC's always from the chest.
I am pretty sure that the higher the difficulty the higher your chances of a legendary dropping, this is clearly stated from torment 1 to 6 but I assume it goes for the other difficulties as well. Either way there is NO REASON to not be playing on at least torment 1, especially once RoS launches (read the goddamn text). If you can't handle torment 1 you are doing something very very wrong with your character.
I haven't seen a single upgrade for my gear, and I don't have anything BiS from 1.08. There are upgrades to DPS or hit point pool, sure, but always at a loss or armor, resist all, movement speed, attack speed, critical hit chance, critical hit damage, etc.. and usually 2 or 3 of those. Don't really want a 2.3% DPS upgrade, but lose 60+ all resist, 200 armor, 5% crit, etc.
That's how all of my drops have been. There are people on my friends list that have had 5 or 6 legendary weapons drop for them in the first couple days. Not sure if much since then. All the weapons I've got have been disappointing. Not just DPS downgrades, but nothing with anything interesting on it. Doesn't help I've had 3 or 4 2H legendary weapon drops and the DPS on 2hers is bugged.
Anyway you can see the first ~37 items I got from loot 2.0 live on page 10 of the "show off your loot 2.0 legendaries" thread.
Starting to think maybe I should have kept more of the legacy gear. Off hands is another thing that has been really sad. I haven't seen the dmg on a WD or wiz off hand roll anything respectable for a level 45 character, much less a 60.
Still waiting for the day a weapon or other items drop that I might want to design a build around.
I applied for a job at Burger King and the manager flashed me his taint I was all like "wtf did that guy shave his taint just for me or does he always shave it like that?"
Higher difficulties do affect legendary drop ratio. And I definitely saw a huge difference when going from my Wizard (which was doing T3-4 already when I started playing) to my alternates (which were doing Master at best).
And the difference will be even higher once RoS hits because some Legendaries only drop in the higher difficulties. You're just spreading wrong info about that. And venting. In a very angry way because things are not going how you want them to. And because you want "moar".
And that's one of the dangers of increasing the drop rate of anything (as happened twice before, and once more now). People will always start comparing streaks of good luck with streaks of bad luck, and almost never think "ok, things are better than before, and probably working as intended". I don't really see this discussion going anywhere.
Thanks Bagstone. People can only relate legendary drop rate to magic find. Go figure.
Even if the drop ratio was the same, I'd still farm a game mode where I need to actually "play" the game, instead of a difficulty where I'm just walking around slaughtering everything.
smartloot and boa gets its reasons when we get the mystic
So true. I find myself thinking "GODDAMNIT I WANT THE MYSTIC!" at least forty seven dozen times per day!
But most people refuse to have perspective.... especially the Diablo community. If something isn't quite right the knee-jerk reaction is to get the pitchforks, torches, and ropes and have us a lynching.
I don't care what anyone says. There is no difference in drops if your playing in normal or torment. none! I play in NA and in EU. like i said I deleted all my NA guys and walking each class. And in EU i run T3 and up. and in spending countless hours playing, the drops are no different from each difficulty.
why would they not make or have legs (THAT WOULD BLOW YOUR FUCKING MIND) ONLY be able to drop in torment. there MUST be items in this game that can only drop in torment. and these items must be the best of the best. These legs are still VERY VERY VERY VERY WEAK. and chopping down an elite in T6 just for 1 yellow. like enough with this cheesy shit. Anyway. it is rather disturbing for them to hype something, andtailorthings to that hype. THEN FUCKING NERF EVERYTHING!
wheres this 2 hours safey net legendary drop come from? Source?
Comes from a Blue post, I can't be assed to find it though if you want to by all means.
I shouldn't have to say this more but like normal Pie is also right people need to chill. Your acting like they are just saying legendaries drop more in torment for laughs at your expence. That's pointless and if you thinks that's the case grow up.
Legendaries drop rate for me now, It's really perfect. Sure sometimes I go a little longer than I wish without legendary drops BUT I get 2 legendaries in rapid succcession as well sometimes.
Also, let me state this from beta experience. The drops at 70 seem to be a bit more balanced for anyone worrying about some items just "sucking" now. After all level 60 items were not desiggned in the beginning with loot 2.0 in mind. Level 70 items were.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck. Its random actually. But you get a bit better hidden magic find in torment, and if you play solo you get less magic find if you didnt know about that part.
And nice to see you coming back. I have spend some hours every day since launch pretty much, and its cool to see my friendlist expand from 4 active back to 100+ people again.
Reaper of Souls is gonna be epic, the beta was a blast and I miss so much from it. Both the loot, the enchantment, adventure mode and the extreme difficulty once you hit 70.
Loot atm is of no interest to me, since its only 60 and it scales much better once the cap is 70. But its your choice man.

I noticed yellow weapons alone went from 1000+dps a week ago to 700-800 average now.
Its junk all day long & back to almost the same as prepatch.
Occasionally a legendary is ok , but nowhere near stellar like at patch release.
