Hey guys, I was just wondering if you thought the price were gonna skyrocket the day before the AH closure?
Are you waiting to sell useless stuff (gems under marquise, crafting mats, etc) or did you already sold all you can to boost your gold stash?
I've seen prices tumbling the last few days. Maybe they will pick up over the weekend. It's hard to say what will happen on March 17. If prices continue to tumble, they will still be low on March 17. But if prices just fluctuate as normal, March 17 could see a bump.
My guess though is that supply will vastly overtake demand between now and March 17, thus meaning falling prices.
There won't be much demand for old items unless they're the original Legs with shit stats or the "newer" legendaries for alts/memories-- honestly can't see anything else being remotely valuable.
The 10 item limit kind of puts a damper on any 'wait until the last minute to sell' plans I would think. Even then, what kind of items would people be panic buying to warrant waiting to try and fleece people with outrageous prices?
Prices tumbling? It's $6.32 / 50m right now. In January it was $2 something. A week or two weeks back it was something like $3.63. I think prices may come down from $6.32, but a free fall? Honestly.. I haven't had great luck predicting the prices, but I cannot imagine prices going below $3 the day or two prior to gold forever being BoA and having zero chance of getting gold anywhere other than from a mob.
Wait... So LS on weps is useless or is it just less useful. If you look at your character stats when removing a LS wep it lowers your overall LS. If I am wrong is there a list out there that shows you these changes / new caps?

Lifesteal previously worked at a 20% efficiency (aka if you deal 100k damage, it healed you for 20k HP).
That has been reduced to 10% (hence, a 50% nerf from what you were healing before, likely in preparation for RoS). Also, there's a bigger focus on high Vitality affixes, further decreasing its efficiency for people with high HP values (100-120k).
Afaik, it slowly dwindles until you reach level 70 (reduces gradually over levels). At least it felt like such in the beta. But I could be wrong and it could be 10% from 61-69, and then 0% at level 70.
It still works 10% until level 69. I was using life steal in beta until level 67/68. The reason why I didn't work after that point was just that I entered a new area where enemies started to hit like a truck
Hmm, interesting... Maybe the feeling I had of the LS slowly dwindling came from increasingly higher health pools. If you're at 300k HP, losing 30-40k per hit, then 2-5k health don't feel very powerful.
Thanks for the heads-up, and for that awesome FAQ thread too
Gratz to 450m! Nope, rare shoulders will be on par if not better than Seven Sins. The shoulders are just really good right now (not sure if BiS) and people are gonna play like crazy until RoS because of the XP bonus pool. And if you have a few billion gold (and some people do), you don't really care about an overpriced recipe (I guess...)

Even if LS is only 10%, I've been getting 1.5mil crits on my wizard, which would put healing at 150,000HP. My health pool is only 80K, so that would serve me pretty well. I still think it is better than 1,000 hp/s and 2000 LoH. Those numbers will outscale LS as you get closer to 70 though (especially since your dps will be gimped by a level 60 weapon.

Thornagol, it means 10% of your current life steal %. So if you had a skorn with 6% Life steal and you get 1.5 mil crit, then that would be 90,000 life gained. But then you have to factor in the 10% of original life steal effect, so this would mean you would only get 9,000 life gained per 1.5 mil crit. It is definitely a huge nerf to life steal, but if you can string together 8-10 large crits, then well, now you got your HP back up to full.

Added that part to the FAQ, btw. I'll become super lazy and just link everyone to it. More playtime for all of us
first off, thank you for this answer. solid. and for my next question , maybe im lazy to be looking around for this answer ..but does the same mentality apply to attack speed, crit chance, and crit damage? ... for instance i still play somewhat of a tonrnado build with my new ass stomping LUT SOCKs... which is by far the only "build changing" / Game changing legendary I have found in 2.0.... anyhow is tornado damage still affected by your offhand wep? or is this all different now too?.... i mean i notice the difference in fury generation...but is attack damage nerfed too.... it seems like it

Thanks for catching that, my maths were really off. Blaming it on the lack of caffeine...
I would be willing to bet the prices will be at an all time high on the 15th-16th. This is payday for a lot salaried individuals. And salaried individuals tend to have a bit more spendable cash than hourly. Especially on the 15th paycheck when rent/mortgage is not due
