If you want to arrange it
This world you can change it
If we could somehow make this
Christmas thing last
By helping a neighbor
Or even a stranger
And to know who needs help
You need only just ask
So still no real pvp ? Cause the new items are balanced around PvE? They could not have considered pvp when workling on a new expansion for like 2 years?
New endgame idea ( still in development ) is mixing the rifts with a weekly ladder? Wow really, that is all?
Still no change in the stance on trading, Ah etc.
I came here to see how things are looking after being absent for like 2 months. Still not impressed. Maybe with the next expansion...
I haven't watched the summary, just the entire thing itself, and I can tell you that I was pretty relieved about how Wyatt answered things.
1) He made it crystal clear that PvE > PvP and, although he was initially a huge advocate for PvP in D3, he admitted that the new legendaries and design decisions in RoS made it even more difficult to include PvP. So, you might have to wait significantly until PvP arrives.
2) He said that he's pretty happy with BoA and Archon and Jaetch also said that over time people will get used to it. In my opinion it's fine. I think it'd be nice if gold was tradeable, because I'm sure some of my friends will completely forget to bring even 10m into the expansion and they probably can't re-roll a lot of stuff because they'll be constantly broke... but other than that, BoA works only in favor for the original Diablo game experience.
3) Wyatt made HUGE disclaimers that the ideas he pitched were some of a few hundred ideas they discussed internally in brainstorming. Read again: just one out of hundreds of ideas. Nowhere did he say that would be something they'd implement. And seriously, this entire "RoS has no endgame" discussion is absolute nonsense. D3 is going back to its core with RoS and it's working out quite well, the most recent balancing changes made bounties and rifts enjoyable and rewarding. And in the long run we will see something like seasons, ladders, events for sure.
Yeah, if you want a game with free trading, PvP, and a focus on competition, don't wait for the next expansion. The development of RoS highlighted that this is not at all what anyone at Blizzard has in mind for Diablo, so you might just wanna move on and not build up anticipation towards features that will never come to the extent you would like to see them.

Oh I have moved on.
I just check in here from time to time in vague hope, but I know myself that blizzard games are dead to me.

They did consider it, and they decided that PvE should rule out over any concessions for PvP.
PvP is not the main concern, end of story. On the list of priorities, it's nowhere near the top. It'll likely be addressed after everything else is ironed out and I totally agree. Ever see those items with elemental immunities? Perma Mirror Images + Point of No Return global stuns via wizard? 30-second duration Spirit Walk with WD? Perma Smokescreen via resource/cooldown reduction for DHs? Good luck trying to balance PvP around them.
PvEvP, on the other hand, is a subject that comes up a lot in terms of end game content. I'd like to see that sooner because it gives players something else to do besides grind Blood Shards and Rift Key Fragments in bounties and nonstop Nephalem Rift runs. Might not be implemented in quite a while, but I do want to see it happen.

I believe that is the biggest long term goal for Blizzard. Most people need some form of competition - having X DPS is pointless if it cannot be tested against other players. Testing it against AI controlled monsters can take you only this far. Since true PvP is out of the question, PvEvP is the only option.
Maybe you need it, and maybe some other folks, but Diablo was never focused around competition and will never be, as bluepost said many many many many many times. When will these generalizations finally stop? Blizzard clearly stated that Diablo is a non-competitive game. If you believe that Blizzard's long term goal is to create some competition you're horribly mistaken.
