Someone posted on the official forums that blizzard is flying streamers to its European hq.. maybe they are preparing to reveal additional features such as devils hand, ladders, and/or some pvp stuff?
Devil's Hand would be a great addition, even if it were just to the expansion and not included in the patch.
Honestly, I know they keep saying they want killing monsters to be the best source of loot, but if and event/activity/quest like Devil's Hand requires you to venture out, kill monsters and bring back little goodies to roll into more items, in my estimation, it's still very much the same thing, just with more objectives.
And the more things they add to do, the more appealing each individual thing looks. When there's just Bounties and Rifts, yeah, it seems boring...but now, we could have Bounties, Rifts, Cursed Chest hunting, Key farming and Uber bosses, Devil's Hand, Gambling with Kadala...you add all those things up, and there's a lot more endgame activities than we seemed to have before.
Am I the only one who's concerned? We discussed at length over here how many bugs and balance issues require fixing before release. We're all concerned that the limited time until release might not be enough to get all this sorted out. And now, on top of it, release an entire new game mode?
First things first. Fix the PTR issues, then add whatever is in the pipeline. More game modes and events will not fix the loot and balancing issues that are still prevalent in the beta.

Nope. I'm quite concerned too. I don't even think they can balance the current content even if they put a ton of people to work in the game this soon to release, let alone announce/release and balance/bugfix/tweak new stuff.
I'm having trouble finding the quote from the Blues, but didn't they state that there are many parts of the client they've fixed/adjusted that they intentionally leave out of the PTR/Beta clients?
Essentially some of the major stuff has been fixed, just not pushed out to the testers because there is no need.
I sincerely hope this feature does make it into the launch of RoS - from what little we know about it, this is the exact type of thing that I would do on a regular basis.

Bagstone...
I guess one of the reasons I'm not terribly concerned, and/or viewing this potential addition of another game feature as a major distraction, is simply because I feel like I'm one of the few people who's looking at how the testing is going and seeing it as extremely organized. Only partial problem might be communication, but I'm not really sure how much more they can be communicating to us...
They told us when drop rates of legendaries were tuned high to give people more to play with. They told us why they removed Horadric Caches from certain aspects, like Bounties. They told us they were raising the drop rate of keys for the new Infernal Machine event were set to 100% chance, so it could be properly tested. With each update and patch, Blizzard is basically corralling testers into particular activities...the reason being because they know if they kept legednaries dropping like raindrops, for example, it'd be impossible to properly gauge Torment difficulty, uber boss difficulty, skill balancing, or really anything at all. Many of those legendaries and sets we want so badly are AWESOME...but you have to admit, they sway testing considerably, when many of the problems being discussed are coming to the surface mainly because of the lack of legendaries throwing off the data.
Most of the Streamer testers, bless their hearts, are looking to put out videos lauding new builds because they're so eager to get Reaper of Souls released. That's all fine and good, but how are Blizzard supposed to get accurate data and feedback if all viewers and players are doing is salivating over legendaries like starving, caged hounds staring at a T-bone?
There are a lot of bugs and balance issues and problems. And we do only have two months between now and release. Which doesn't at all seem like a lot, but a ton can happen in two months if they work efficiently. They know what happened the last time, when D3 launched as a worldwide joke. And they know what's at stake this time.
They can't tell us every single individual step along the process, but they can give us updates as to where they're at in the process.
What I've seen has been going pretty good. I'm not worried that they're not on task this time.
An example of this is the legendary item flint ripper arrowheads, its a quiver.
The properties of this legendary are basically made of of stats and the usual stuff found on a quiver. I hate to say this but this is like a glorified rare, there is nothing special on this item i found and in no way should it be deemed as a "Legendary"
Now i wish is was 1 or 2 items but out of the 7 items i have found i have only found 1 useful one, i am not sure if i have just been unlucky but i really was expecting more game changing or build changing items.
I would rather have a super proc with a large coodown like 30 secs, but when it does activate it summons like 10 angels which basically obliterate the entire screen around you, i want Legendary items to feel Powerful, not oh yer here's something that follows you around and hits like a wet nappy.
Some of the legendaries I've found on the PTR haven't been monumental. Like, I found some of the ones I've already found in D3V, like the Devil Tongue 1h sword. This one amulet I gave to my WD was all right, not a lot special about it.
However, I have found some really cool ones.
Like my Monk got an updated Band of Hollow Whispers ring that not only Smart Dropped Dex/Vit, but Haunts enemies on attacks. Doesn't sound like much, but I was running a long-range Monk build using Hand of Ytar, Explosive Light and Dashing Strike, so the Haunt procs came in really handy, plus they do some pretty hefty damage. Also, yesterday, I found a Bombadier's Rucksack Quiver for my DH that allows two additional Sentries to be thrown down...again, doesn't seem like much on paper...but even though I took a small hit in some stats from the Dead Man's Legacy I had equipped, but I was running a build with Custom Engineering, Aid Station and Brooding, so I was able to cover the battlefield with 5 total Sentries, all with extended duration that boosted my Life Regen a ton while near one (even moreso when standing still thanks to Brooding stacks), and they were all firing simultaneously. Maybe that doesn't equate to a "gigantic massive supernova explosion," but I can't tell you how much of a blast I was having with that. Normally, I'm trying to find ways to take the Sentries skill off my Active Bar, but that Quiver DESPERATELY made me want to keep it there. Plus I'd found a nice higher level Balefire Caster that upgraded in damage from my Windforce. I know, I said the same thing.
I understand what you're saying, that you want all Legendaries to be more impressive. I kinda wish they all had some special aspect to them as well, and hopefully it's something we'll see in the final release. Point is...more build-changing ones are out there.

Love it. Put it in the game. Let's do it.
