If true, That blows dude. And I would've honestly said fine fuck your game, and never purchased another blizzard product ever again. I would've told them cancel my WoW subscription and then hung up the phone. That awful, and annoying at the same time that this is a company that is supposed to be one of the best.

Not even Death will save you from Diablo Bunny's Cuteness!
To be fair, this is the same thing that would happen to you no matter what online game you were playing. You don't own the game, you can be banned for any reason, and they do not have to inform you of their reasons. I don't agree with this, but I understand the ToS that I accepted.
Flipping Item on the AH is breaking the ToS, not trying to be an ass but in lawyer speak its in there.. case closed. Not saying I agree with the ToS but you admit to breaking that rule and It is completely unrelated to the accidental duping. Sorry you lost your stuff.
You made a shit-ton of gold by gambling on the AH like it was the NYSE. Even if everything you've said in the video was exactly like you've said, the ban is still in line with the ToS (though, depending on how much you really knew, it might have been harsh).
When the gem prices dropped, I thought about the same - buying tons of gems, either for myself or for re-selling. At some point I realized "this can't be right, I could make a ton of money with this". I did a Google search and found reports of people banned for this AH-flipping with gems. No idea if they were telling the truth, but I told myself I'm not gonna even risk it. Have you ever invested in stocks? It's just the same: the higher the profit, the higher the risk.
A part of the story reminds me of Scorsese's recent movie; the difference being that Belfort was aware of what he did. You tried to get rich on other people's account. Those $17,400 wouldn't have come out of nowhere, you know? In the end, you might have just been banned for RMAH ToS 11.B.iii.
Getting banned blows. Ive been banned twice so far.
First time I knew it was coming, tried a bot like a fool, boom, 3 months later. BANNED.
Second time I have no clue. Still unsure to this day if it was my new keyboard/some nasty stuff on my PC or if I still had old bot files on my old PC. Was only told that it was triggered in there system as a "Program". Lost around 700+ Paragon.
Yes, I'm still playing as D3 is one of my main games. Call me crazy.

Twitch.tv: twitch.tv/mehsiah | Youtube/Twitter in the future.
"i dont know why ppl hate ah fliping so much." => I didn't see anyone "hating" AH flipping here. Most people probably don't care about the AH much and try to stay away from it.
"Milions of ppl IRL make living by buying cheap and selling for more." => Yes, but exactly this is prohibited by the RMAH ToS, 11.B.iii, as I stated before. I didn't make the rules, but they're crystal clear with regard to this. Do not use the (RM)AH as an investment vehicle. There's NYSE for that.
"i dont like when ppl dictate otehrs how to play game as long he is not breaking any rule" => Again, no one in this thread dictated anyone how to play the game, people were just trying to point out to OP why his ban might have been justified. Because in fact, with the amount of money he is talking about he is violating the ToS. The sheer amount he was flipping is worth a year's salary of many people.
"and compared to countless posts of ppl being banned for no reason this guy sounds like giving WHOLE STORY." => It's only his side of the story. There are lots of small little details in his story that, to be honest, sound very strange. He has two accounts just to be able to flip more stuff, he has made billions of gold, he wants to get triple profit from flipping gems - and yet ignores all the risks, has not even read the posts of people banned for flipping gems (as I pointed out, they were keeping me from doing the same)? Hmmmm....

"Potentially".
It's things like this that make me scared of buying Blizzard products. It can happen to anyone, even if you did your best to follow the rules.
This is old issue many many months back. Why bring up the past?
I stopped watching after:
"...and my second account, which I use for auction house purposes"
There is almost nothing you can do with a second account (especially for AH purposes) that is allowed by the EULA you agreed on.
