Has there been any info revealed about this yet? I would've thought it would be featured in that feature video alongside Neph Rifts/Mystic/Bounties/Adventure mode. I hope it didn't get scraped, seemed to bring some challenge.
Nephalem trials and Nephalem Rifts are two completely different things btw.
No? Didn't see anyone mention it here yet, was just wondering. Although I only checked the first page under general discussion only so sorry if you or someone brought this up already.
Pretty sure Nephalem Rifts are portals found randomly throughout the game and when you enter them you fight waves of mobs and get Resplendant chests depending on how good you do or something, pretty sure it was never related to bounties.
Anyways hopefully this gets cleared up in today's panels.

Nephalem Rifts were never related to Bounties, that's correct. But, they were never random portals. They were previously called Loot Runs.
Nephalem Trials were supposed to be timed challenge-type events. Horde mode-esque....
We knew about Bounties from the datamined info and now we know what those are in the concrete. Strangely, now there's no mention of Nephalem Trials, which makes me think that they are either gone or have been re-named/re-done as Bounties. However, I might be entirely wrong about this and we might get info about Neph Trials in the Gameplay Systems Panel.
Also whatever happened to Devil's Hand? No trace of that...
If Neph Trials been scrapped then I guess we can't do anything. But lets wait for the Gameplay Systems panel today.... there might just be info on it. And Devil's Hand too.
No. Trials were explicitly talked about in GC 2013 (not during the main panel.. they forgot about that somehow... one of the post-panel interviews on Josh had him talk about them).
Rifts were non-existent back then because they were called Loot Runs.
Just came up in Flux's update at diabloinc gamers:
Nephalem Rifts (AKA Loot Runs) are special dungeons accessed via yellow portals found near a special altar in town in Adventure Mode. They are *not* found in Campaign Mode (and they are not the same thing as Nephalem Trials, which are small bonus dungeons with short and intense Jar of Souls-style events found in Adventure Mode or Campaign Mode), which I have not yet encountered in this Blizzcon Demo).
Sounds good. More spice to the overall flow of the game beyond what we already have.
Now we know Loot runs were renamed Neph Rifts and im unsure if the other two were wrapped into this mechanics with bounties and adventure mode or if they still exist on their own.
Aren't they supposed to be random portals that pop up throughout the acts. When you enter them they'll spawn the challenge which you can then complete to claim a number of resplendent chests depending on how well you did. I don't think it's a feature specifically for adventure mode, they just spawn like random events, a bit like hell portals did in Act IV D2.
I'm also curious as to why they didn't mention them, since its a new feature. Then again, Devil's Hand is clearly there, even though they didn't elaborate on it. So hopefully Trials are still in game as well.

Re-asked it in the official forums. No response.

Neph Trials
Devils Hand
Loot runs
Were three seperate mechanics.
