I remember how exited I was after my first legendary drop. And I also remember the huge disappointment 5 seconds after.
Who changed "disappointment" in my post ...
Not cool. Invasion of privacy stuff here.
Did that really happen? If so, gotta agree with Indimix on this one.
No, it did not happen, even if admins change a post you see an edit line at the bottom. Besides, I read his post a minute after he posted it last night and it hasn't change since. No idea what he's talking about, but 1) let's not derail this thread and 2) let's not make up conspiracy theories about censorship here.
So many things of those already posted, especially being a Barb during the first days/weeks, when the game ended right after the Butcher. Surpassing my Barb with a DH with ~10k HP. Killing Belial with that one was the biggest battle. Thank god for pre-nerf Nether Tentacles
I also remember a time, when the lvl cap was 13, which didn't stop me from crafting lvl27 equipment
Back then, 100 dps was sky high. I really enjoyed the beta.
Another thing, that browsing screenshots just brought back into memory. The awesomeness of early game legendaries.

Back on topic, I remember when people would copy their un-IDs onto the 1.0.5 PTR, identify them there, and then come back to the live server and know what they were before identifying.
I remember when i used to see a lot more dfans mods/news guys/wiki people around these forums prerelease (Ophion, PhrozenDragon, Don_guilletine, ScyberDragon, Sixen etc) - these guys helped get me really excited for D3 everyday when I was but a lurker in these parts..
This a billion times*** ='(
D3 was the best game of all times... until it was released !!
*** Wow I'm very impressed by you remembering all those names. There was also Magistrate who loved rats and Mephito's Lament who was pretty cool guy with bad attitude. Damnit, I used to absolutly love this place so fucking much ='(
I do hope all these guys return at some point. Especially Sixen + Force... they got me hyped the most and then they just gave up on D3
I remember when we had to identify our full inventories 1 item at a time,,, and each time the 'present' was a lump of coal..
Diablo3.org gives away free Diablo 3 games every Sunday to a random winner who participates!Build clans, chat, and watch the latest news at Diablo3org!
I remember the act 2 wall on inferno, and only demon hunters or FA wizzards have acess to further acts, having huge gold/item advantage by farming blues at act 4 and selling them at the AH;
I remember when barbs can't survive without a sword and board build with revenge and frenzy sidearm;
I remember that to kill grom on infeno, you have to kite him to every spot of the room, until each of them be covered by his shit;
I remember about mantra of healing and it's OP BoI rune.
I remember when inferno belial second phase, if don't kill him fast enough, all area was surrounded by his green explosives and you're pretty much dead (some pro players could kill him, even with this enrage).
I remember when people and the devs said "this game is hard!"
I remember at launch day, 1/4 of the people could enter the game and the rest were trying to login in every minute 3~4 hours straight.
I just wanted to make a quick post thanking Blizzard for allowing this thread to be featured on the main site as this week's Community Commentary! Also, thank you all, the DFans community, for making this thread so popular, and keeping it so alive and positive! I can't explain the joy I felt when I woke up yesterday morning, checked Diablofans.com, and saw the news feed of the Community Commentary being this very thread :Thumbs Up:
It couldn't have been possible without everyone contributing such awesome memories, and I hope they keep coming! So many great ones so far, and I'm sure there is so much more to come!
I remember fighting diablo with around 40k dps with a shield equipped (because I'd die otherwise) on my wizard and trying to kill him over and over and over using 5 CD spells and poison hydra. 15 minute attempts Came across this song http://www .youtube.com/watch?v=W-nki7BDKzQ which helped calm my nerves and I was able to finally take him out. This was after the nerf that rendered the 4k HP w/ tons of regen build useless but before any nerfs to diablo himself were released.
Also remember when three friends and I made hardcore characters, activated old man event in field of misery and two of my friends died. Bwah haha.
The last thing I'll write about was how upset I was that they nerfed Tyreal because people where using him to kill elites or the purple mobs in Act 4 trying to find that 1k dps blue weapon!

I also remember hydra+blizz kiting build was the only way to survive...

I remember when I first got to Inferno Acts 2 and 3. Scary monsters everywhere, man.
Speaking of Diablo... I remember when Shadow Clones were hitting harder than Diablo himself...

Thank you Blizzard, and thank you all!
I HATED this so much. I forgot about that but I'm so glad it's gone.
Also...anyone remember when Archon was bugged one night and Wizards were invincible for a few hours?
... Oh wait they still aren't
Oh ermm... hold on a second here... I'll get this right eventually!
Grats on being the community thinger Juski. Reading the comments on that blog post, however, has made me want to fall on a steak knife!
