1) PTR launching on Nov 12th.
2) LOTS more socketable modifier items. Including a wide variety of gems and jewels.
3) More sockets on all slots. Weapons = 2-3. Armor = 4. Helm = 2. Pants = 3.
4) Being able to combine gems to create new affects. i.e. A RF/Marquise Ruby + RF/Marq Emerald on weapon = 3%+ LS.....that kinda thing.
5) A special charm or talisman earned from completing Neph Trials, adding dynamic class-specific bonuses while carried in INV.
Yeah, see that's the reason his tweet caught my eye, he used the word "surprise", aka we don't know about it yet.
I don't want to nitpick at someone's choice of words but it does imply something. I imagine they'll announce a whole host of new stuff at BlizzCon but it seems strange for him to say that at this point. (BlizzCon ~2 months away)
They have said before that they plan for the beta to be in this year so I wouldn't necessarily consider that a surprise.
Soon for blizzard is the only word they can use that can mean...several months without pissing people off. Either they tell me @ blizzcon which is in what Oct/Nov?
ahh yeah good old PTR.. i was thinking patch in Nov but forgot all about that PTR..
1.08 lasted for approx 6-8 weeks, right?
So....if, and that's a big IF ....PTR launches on Nov 12th ( the Tuesday immediately proceeding Blizzcon), we're looking at the earliest live-launch of 2.0 approx mid to late Dec, potentially January if there are too many issues to hash out.

Actually, all Josh said regarding a beta-date was an "Yes", when asked about whether he "Hopes that the RoS beta will come this year". Don't make stuff up
I don't think he intended to "make stuff up". I think he was honestly mistaken.

Weren't you argueing the other day that stuff in inventory was bad design?
No. I've argued quite the opposite. I feel charms would be a terrific implement, only....they need to be limited as far as the number you can carry. Example; A limit of 4-6 etc.

Thanks for letting me know what you think, but fact is that he said something that he can't back up and didn't check up on before posting. In my world that's making stuff up.
Giving people the benefit of the doubt is an admirable trait. There would be no ill intent for him to make such a claim and do so by willingly lying. He was incorrect, but not lying. There's a big difference.

I'd love to see charms make a come back, I'd agree they should be limited, but we also have plenty of inventory space to spare. I don't think we need to get back to the d2 days of using our entire inventory for charms, but it think their excuse for not having them was a bit weak. Yes charms help you min max..but they also give you another outlet to improve your character or even change some builds. (i.e cheesy d2 psn dmg stacking)

Charms also help players reach breakpoints without having to feel it's mandatory to hit said breakpoints with gear slots. It frees up gear choices IMO.
Also, a great way to customize, and given the proper implementation of charms, excellent for niche builds and theory crafting.
Jeez guys, 5-10 back and forth posts that have nothing to do with the topic. Stay on topic, or discuss those pointless side subjects on PMs.
Also, either Josh is either telling the truth (and they're gonna release more info) or he's about to be one of the most hated guys ever (for making multiple tweets hyping things up, and making it look like they are gonna release info really soon - days/weeks-soon). Just sayin'

I want to be hopeful but "Soon" probably means "BlizzCon"
Thoughts?

I have no idea to be honest. lol

I believe "lying" and "making stuff up" are fundamentally the same insinuation, no?
Attacking people for being wrong is unbecoming. ...."broscience" or not.
Also: What the fuck is "broscience"?

But hey, I remember Blizzard saying loot 2.0 defiantly WOULDN'T launch before Blizzcon. Who's to say the PTR doesn't though? Eh?? EHH??????
