What class can currently get the highest crit rate? With Paragon 2.0, won't it be possible to hit 100%?
There are barbs who have already managed to get to 100% for a very short amount of time. 75% is the crit cap right now, but skills can go beyond this, and especially barbs can easily get to up to 90%; I think the highest screenshot I've seen was 96% or 98%, but someone did the math once and 100% is already possible.
I guess they are going to Increase the cap for crit chance or just that paragon buff won't count after 75%, damn that will be nice you won't bother about that 6% cc omg wtf priced mempo
You mean decrease?
I seriously hope they decrease it to 50%, and no exceptions. 100% crit chance is just as ridiculous as 100% Archon or WotB uptime.
The Paragon bonuses to Crit, Crit Damage, and IAS provide a PERFECT excuse to lessen how much is available on items. I'm sure Blizzard has thought of this because it seems pretty damned obvious.

Agreed, they need to nerf CC and CD by half or at least 75%. This would make it less mandatory that you need to load up with CC/CD in most slots available.
I said it many times, CC and CD is bullshit, negates any items who doesn't have it but still rolled out awesome stats. I say get rid of them or nerf the shit out of them and lower the hp/damage of the mobs so we don't absolutly need CC and CD.
All crit related stuff should have never been so high or even existed in the first place. I think moving crit to paragon might solve this little side of itemization.

If you nerf or reduce CC & CD people will just start stacking IAS (I seem to recall a IAS nerf that caused people to start focusing on crit). Unless they make the primary stats more powerful or the only stats available that focus on damage people will just stack the next best thing that's not a primary stat.
Drastically altering CC will also change or remove what few viable builds are in the game (granted these builds are OP ATM). I suppose now would be the time to do it with the expansion but I really doubt they would "remove" crit from the game without changing a lot of runes. I'm fine with having high CC but remove or reduce the ability to stack CD if you want to go that route.

Playing Diablo since 97. I know nothing and having nothing good to say, I be a troll.
To be honest I am all for lowering CC and CD as long as they stick to what they are saying and making self found gear worth a damn... the whole reason people started to stack CC and CD was because all the best people did it and if you really think about it the CC and CD items were the only ones selling at AH there fore most people got CC and CD... but I am not sure if they do nerf CC and CD then I hope they do something about mob HP because for MP10 you do need some crazy CC and CD to be able to kill them in a decent amount of time.
Notice anything about the crit chance roll on this lvl 70 item?
Expect crit chance to be capped at 7.5%(down from 10%) and 4.5%(down from 6%) on lvl 70 items. It's the easiest way to deal with fury generation and critical mass passive without breaking what currently works with lvl 60 gear.
The critchance will be moved to paragonpoints probably....or maybe there are diminishing returns.
That... Probably.
I agree. I imagine the caps will change and it will just scale with the new level cap. Also from the item screenshots they've shown it looks like their lowering the the affix rolls themselves to allow people to probably focus on the primary stat as being the biggest source of damage now. This is fine with me as it will make items more useful and you won't feel as if every legendary you find is crap due to the random affix sucking. Between these changes and the mystic they are certainly going to help people distance themselves from the AH.
