it it was my bad but beware !!!
and blizzard pls fix this
lol......c'mon brother. Be a man. Men know when they fuck up and do stupid shit. We all do stupid shit from time to time, and a as man, admit it.
That was fucking dumb....lesson learned.
What I'm not understanding though is.... why on Earth did you even consider drop-trading? Like seriously what the fuck?
I would also submit that perhaps it would be more of an opportunity to exploit people for their naivety if you could, in fact, pick up items with the trade window open. Not sure how but I suppose it's possible.
he told me he couldnt see the items stats in the chat and he needed to ctrl id it on the ground he told me someone sacmmed him to and to drop it on the ground i didnt want to so he droped a good set item to on the ground and was half screen away from me and told me if u see me coming pick my item and pick yours cuz i am so far away from u so i droped and he opened the trade window i know its my bad i am just sharing this experince with u all ....
Chin up....next time (and I assure there will be a next time) just tell them "tough luck"....."that's your fucking problem". That ammy was fucking nice and if he didn't want it, many others would.
My philosophy has always been to insist that I'm in charge, there is a very specific manner of doing a trade and as soon as someone tries to wrestle control of the trade from me with preposterous suggestions ,,,,,,,,,fuck 'em.
the second he asked to put it on the ground, you should have reported him for scamming, blocked him, and left the damn game...dont even try to wrap your head around a possible legitimate reason. when your spidy senses tingle, GTFO.
I'm torn, really I am. If you'd have said "He said drop it on the floor so I did", I'd maybe give you points for naivety, but to go "This seems awfully suspicious, better do it anyway" really hurts my head. Still hard luck though, you just lost more than my character's total worth ._.
I've been scammed a couple of times, but then again, I was a young teenager playing D2.
How many times have I been scammed since then? 0.
Why? Because I've learnt from my experiences.
Ok for anyone who does not know, but this guy seeks attention and is Trolling cause no one in their right mind will drop a amulet worth 350mil on the ground, who the F&*^K trades like that ? This guys suffers from the Downs.

Nomanis sane whodoesnot knowhow to beinsaneonproperoccasions.
scammed me for a 80mil witching hour, same method, he asked me to drop it, i droped it for one sec, but then this trade bug...
awesome stuff right there.
Oh and FYI, he didnt kept the trade window open, he went as far as u can get , then he opened the trade from like a mile away which i didnt even knew u can do that
I can see this scam being insanely successful with a 2 party scam team. But alone I'm just still mind boggled. Like I assumed once you clicked out of trade it exited for both players not just one. Assuming that he would have to cancel his trade window to be able to pick up your item.
If there was 2 people though I could see it like person to be scammed will be called Bob, Scammers will be Jake and Tom. Jake wants to get item from Bob. Jake has Bob drop item and opens trade window with gold in it. Tom comes in and steals the item from the ground and disappears. You assume Jake did something when in fact he just opened trade window and put in gold or the wrong item or whatever excuse he would use to not continue the transaction.
Wow,not to be mean, but heck dude.. I could smell the scam on that the second he said to drop it on the ground. It's an old trick in many online games.
Sorry, but wow... I feel for you, but hey...this is how we learn.
Secondly, if he's really a 'scanner', I've got some stuff I needed scanned, like in yesterday already.
Jokes aside, I'm sorry this happened to you and hope it doesn't make you lose all your trust in people, just know how to recognize bullshit. It's a huge loss, but it's a valuable lesson. Take it to heart and shake off the gold you lost. No point dwelling in the past.
I did find this story to be humorous, and it put a smile on my face. I really hope this is a fake story cause I cant imigine someone actually admitting this happend to them.
Make a report through the official channels next time, coming here posting someones battletag and accusing him of exploiting when he cant defend him self is low.
You can only blame your self for this one btw, Blizzard made a trade function in the game for exactly these kind of situations.
Edited out the battletag and closing this.
