"Affixes on items will now roll their level based on the level of the monster killed (rather than the item's level). This now applies to random affixes on Legendary items"
That's the wording in the patch notes, but what does that mean when you turn on MP1 in inferno(all lvl 63 monsters) for rares that drop?
Will every item that drops be ilvl 63?
or does this just mean that the ilvl distribution will be same as act3 inferno (on 1.0.4) no matter what you kill in inferno on MP1?
I'm hearing people saying that they're holding off on buying a weapon until after the patch, but I don't understand why you'd hold off on anything except for rings/ammys
After the patch, on MP1, the Item Level on the item will determine the base damage (DPS) of weapons, and base armor value of items. The rest will be affixes that can roll on 63s (ie: 70-80 all resist, instead of 50-60)
This also means there's absolutely no difference between 58 to 62 rings. as they all roll at the 63 level. Which means you can now have rings that rolls 5 to 6% Crit Chance, and 35 to 50 Crit Damage. As opposed to being capped at 4.5% Crit, 34% Damage.
First, in 105, when your MP is on, even MP1, all monsters in all Acts will become lv63 monster. So the drop rate or expected item dropped will behave like now current ACT3/4.
Second, for random affixes, with MP on, even MP1, they will roll as the highest affixes tier, no matter item lv. Same to legendary drops.
Well to be honest blizz finally seems to realize that people rather farm and get gear fast then farm for a long time to get perfect gear rather than farm for a really long ass time to get mediocre gear that they can sell and the save gold to get a perfect piece of gear..
Thanks for the quick replies, and that is just stupid op.
People really want to feel overpowered in this genre apparently, they're not looking for any kind of difficulty UNLESS it's self-imposed difficulty.
I'm okay with that tbh, the earlier iterations of Inferno proves that "challenging" doesnt have its place because it feels too much brickwall to bother playing.
