I've been seeing DiabloFans and the forums for a long time, but only now I really needed to post something haha.
Is it just me or the Treasure Goblin rate is just insane this last few days? It is with my lvl 60 WD farming Act 1-2, my Barb just finishing Nightmare and my Wiz at lvl 9. Everywhere, at almost every dungeon, I find Treasure Goblins. Everywhere.
I was used to find very few goblins, even some days I played with friends for 4 hours and wouldn't find a goblin, but these days they are everywhere! Anyone noticed it? Any news on that?
At first I thought it was just me, but it is impossible seeing it were 10+ hours of playing this way.

I think they increased the spawn rates across the board on them. But RNG is still RNG. I had an act 1 inferno farm run yesterday spawn like 5 of them, no kidding. Today though I did 2 runs in A1 and didn't get anything, but then jumped into an A3 inferno group game and we got like 5 in the dungeons under the keep on the way to the the fat stinky dude.
To everyone claiming "luck": how is possible that for 90 straight hours of play I always have "bad luck" and, all of a sudden, I have 10+ straight hours of "luck"? It just doesn't work that way...
There must have been a change in their spawn rate, it is pretty ridiculous right now
The answer is actually pretty simple: The Puzzle Ring.
What the hell are you talking about, you ask? Well, quite easily explained. The introduction of the puzzle ring has created an influx of treasure goblins throughout the world. Everyone here has experienced the unfortunate displeasure of failing to kill one of these frantic creatures, so we're all quite aware that they portal off to their stash of loot, never to be seen again. Right?
WRONG - They're simply dumping their shinies to continue off to another game. My game, or someone else's game, until they are finally vanquished.
So you see, the trend you've detected is actually a result of the new Puzzle Ring spawning more goblins than can be handled. You are receiving a goblin overflow is all.
I've noticed more of them, usually inside dungeon areas more than outside and typically right beside elite packs. Every time I see one I think to myself 'it's a trap' and check out what's around and behind it first, if I can.
I see one almost every clear of festering woods in act 1 and at least one in the vault of the assassin in act 2 which is possibly my favourite area to play around in.

See, that wasn't so hard to explain.
