So basically when i quit the game i invested all my money into fiery brimstones in case i were to come back. I don't remember how many i have entirely but its somewhere between 1250-1350. I was wondering if you guys think the price will increase a lot with the new patch or has it already capped at its potential? I don't have to sell them right away bc i kept my DH's gear so should i hold onto them for a few days? Should i sell today when patch hits? Or should i just keep them hoping the price continues to go up.
IMO they will stabilize rather quickly in the upcoming days. You should make some profit on the overanxious that are willing to buy at the highest selling point, so I guess trying to sell some of them right after the patch at a higher cost should net you some decent income.
Seeing as you will make a profit, no matter what, you should just be patient and check on prices on a day-to-day basis. If you spot a deep drop in prices, which I highly doubt, unload all of them on the market.
All in all, you are in a privileged position to come back to the game filthy rich, regardless of the strategy you use.
Ok thanks, when i bought them they were about 80k a piece im hoping they've gone up significantly and will continue to. Im guessing ill prolly try and unload them in the next 3 days depending on how the market goes. Any idea what they're worth currently or if they will rise above the current price with the new patch?
If you're not sure of what the price will do, you could hedge your bets. For example, if you think that the price is twice as likely to go down as to go up, you could do something like sell two thirds of them and keep the remaining third to sell later (in a week, or a month, or whenever) in case prices go up. This way, you will necessarily have sold some of them for less than you could have (unless prices don't change at all), but the minimum that you will get for them will be higher than if you were to save all of them or sell all of them.

All ilvl 61+ legendaries have been listing for no less than 350k in anticipation for this patch. I was selling brimstones for 140k gold a couple weeks ago. I'm betting that the brimstones will easily be 300k+ for a few days, and will eventually come back down if the market gets flooded with items that do not sell and get salvaged instead.
Wow awesome thats a tad higher than i expected, Doez makes it sound like its inflated though but not everyone keeps up with patch notes so i think im gonna see how it goes today and if it keeps going up ill wait until it starts to drop and unload all of them. Thanks again guys.
they will take a dump at start
then take a larger dump when botters all back in business
since AH gold floor is gone (gone down to 1/10), gold will soon worth nothing, and commodity valued in gold are going to get dumped first.
to make it more clear
your brimstones will represent increasingly larger sum of gold
but gold value will continue to drop till a point any large sum of it does not represent a real noticeable value.
