For me I recently switched to a tank type Barb build with lots of heals, crowd control and buffs. As well as nearing 100K health with my shout. Just fun and brings me back to maxing my chars in WoW for tanking. It's fun to basically stomp most champ packs in public grps and help other players get thru the act 1 inferno quickly.
Anyone else found something that has turned the game from feeling off to just being fun and even exciting?
Easier said than done sometimes. I started a "No auction house" Monk. Lasted about 25 levels. Then I started a "no auction house" barbarian. Lasted about 6. I guess I don't have the constitution required.
Temptation finds me, not the other way around, I swear it!
im currently in a standstill because i thought of perhaps trying out tornado build instead of 2H but afraid because next patch could easily nerf it so atm im just searching AH if i find a good deal and wait for the patch to bring in some positive changes
The problem is I've heard patch could be a month away still... no one knows.

I highly regret the fact that players like yourself and so many others live in constant fear of nerfs. There seems to be an ominous underlying feeling that Blizzard's game balance folks are sitting up in their tower saying "Oops, X player on Y stream put together a powerful build, time to get the bat out again."
When the game was initially released, they promised us that players would stumble on to things that the test team did not, unintended builds would emerge, and they would be nerfed. Critical Mass is a perfect example of this. But now, the game has been released for over 2 months, and players are still shell-shocked into thinking that any combination of skills/gear they come across that gives them any sort of success is "wrong" and "dirty" and "going to be nerfed".
Well it's good there are some fun ways to keep the game going while they keep making unsure choices in game design. Shame they nerf rather than buff in a game where their philosophy was said to be that there is no such thing as too much power. Reading some critiques that the games power to creature ratio is opposite of D2 is true and unfortunate. We now start out massively strong then quickly become in a struggle for survival by the end of Hell.

To that matter, the Barb WW/WotB build did the trick for me.

This makes me sad. Blizzard, set our builds free!
Patience, I have. Integrity, discipline? Eh...
