I can't believe I bought into Blizzard trash talking about how awesome Diablo 3 is going to be.
I have been trying to sell my Collector's Edition for over a month now with no success. I'm even selling it cheap (4 lvl 60s, 35mil gold, 4 phat lvl 85 WoW characters all on the same b.net account) for about 50% more than what CE originally sold.
B.net accounts sell like candy here in Sweden, I've sold about 5-6 WoW accounts and bought 4 or so, but Diablo 3 is just not going, at all. Who would've guessed that the game would go down so quickly?
Blizzard didn't over hype Diablo 3. The community did. We are in the twitter era. Word of mouth spreads so quickly. If you hear news an hour after it breaks you are late to the party. The word of how "good" and "groundbreaking" games are spreads like wildfire and the idea is in peoples minds. Diablo 3 sold 7 million copies because people heard about it and heard it would be epic.
Remember Star Wars the Old Republic? The greatest thing to hit the PC market since the first computer itself? Yeah barely holding on to it's life. Because everyone just assumed it would be epic and groundbreaking because they heard from a small minority who praised it.
Same with Guild Wars 2 - wait until the bandwagoners figure out there's no raids and end game items are nothing more than fluff.
People just need to form their own opinions on things before expecting it to make them orgasm. I'm not really implying that you bought Diablo 3 blindly OP, I'm just pointing out the world we live in and how everything is over hyped these days.
You're comparing ARPG account sales with MMO account sales? Why?
As for the CE, I imagine anyone who wants a CE but doesn't already have one has already bought the standard edition and probably has a comparable set of characters themselves. If you're selling a CE to someone who already has the SE, they'll only be wanting to pay for the extra content, not the game itself... they already have that, and its resell value is basically zero.
So just warning you. Blizzard will ban your account if they find out your trying to sell it so maybe posting it on a site where your user have the battletag is not such a good idea. Especialy considering this even if not an official site (not sure if it is or isn't?) is a pretty big site aka apart of the curse network so there is a good chance blizzard will read this xD
They have explicitly come out and said they keep track and read fansites such as DiabloFans, Diablo Reddit, and other fan sites.
It's probably not that much of a stretch that the hack team actually read the more shady websites of the community.

Not encouraging this at all but why not sell it as a wow account.. that happens to have d3 added to it?

Thoughtful words, it's sad the drop rates for these are insanely low nowadays in the gaming community.
