For everyone that says DIablo 3 kills, that is completly ignorant :\ He was over weight, and sat in he same position for 3 days straight cutting off the blood flow to the rest of his body for hours on end leading up to a sudden heart attack, he probably sat there while the heart attack was going on and thought his arm was just cramping up because he had it stretched out for so long.
Edit* They have changed that story twice now, almost sounds made up, earlier when I saw it I commented on how it was very simular to the kid that died in February to the rest of the mods, but now they changed it again, saying he stode up and walked a few feet and died. Like they are trying to purposely make it sound different.
mine record was about 2 days and blood started pop up from nose never did it again!
3 days here (72h w/o sleep, nonstop playing), on a LAN Party when i was young
When my dad picked me up, i was having hallucinations, pink flying elephants and shit^^
I've slept 24 Hours straight after that...
I never gonna do that again, but it was a experience^^
And that Taiwan dude hit the sack at 40 hour mark?
thats some weak kung fu...no serious!^^

the Fox article is pretty says pretty much the same as the translated article that appeared on reddit a day or so ago. There is nothing to say he was overweight in either article you are just assuming, and 40 hours is no where near 3 days its not even 2 full days.
It is the fact they said there job came with a Gym membership and they erged him to attend and he agreed and then decided he wanted to play instead, so yes I assumed he was overweight.
I used to stay up 72 hours straight pretty often playing games as a teenager. i'd get up and move around sometimes though maybe every 6 hours for food and more coca-cola. (im not fat lol)
the main culprit was Monster Hunter. I was so fucking addicted to that game (ps2) playing it online with friends at all hours, day and night. That, StarCraft, Diablo 2, etc. I would start seeing shadows moving in the corner of my vision after 72 hours and thats when I knew it was time to sleep lol.
Dang, reading this makes me want to get up and walk around a bit.
Some of you guys are machines. I could never do 72 hours straight if I wanted to.
The longest I've ever stayed up playing games was only like 28 hours or so when I was younger. Nowadays I usually stop after 10-12 hours straight of playing since I tend to slow down farming, etc from being tired.
