I like it, and il like it even more when i get my video card pci-e slot extender ( the video card doesnt fit in my computer, it will have to hang out side of it)
and i start finding items to sell on RMAH, then I will really like it ^.^
and il like it even more after they fix / balance a few things
It's pretty amazing, yep. Gotten my fair amount of time out of it for the price, and even more so i could even MAKE money on this if i had not been in a certain RL situation atm. So i would account this to be technically a possibly FREE game (it pays it self) if you invest enough time, and it is fun. So yeah, i think it's amazing.
the question for you is, do you like it more than you like the doors? o/O
d3 is a good game. there's room for improvement and it's obvious that blizzard will try to improve it. we know that the will be buffing legendaries/sets and fixing a lot of underused class skills. we know that pvp will be added. they've stated they want to do more for endgame activities.
i think d3 is as good as it can be without having a release date landing after hillary clinton's second term
The game is good overall, I love it and I think it will be a GREAT game soon. I just think ladders are must have, and the only things I miss from D1/D2 are the battlenet chat rooms and PENTAGRAMS. PENTAGRAMS EVERYWHERE.
To me, that is an important feature that is missing. All the satanic enviroment from D2 and ESPECIALLY D1 made this aspect alot more thrilling and deep.
I think D3 is an amazing game. It's not perfect, no game is. But it's hard to argue it's not fun. Sure, it's frustrating at times, but when you get further, that's where the enjoyment is.
Anyone can make a laundry list of problems; and I've complained about crappy drops a lot. About random maps not being in the game, etc. But c'mon. Just popping into a game for 20 minutes and killing a ton of crap. It's a blast.
Here is my bet:
People complaining about the game (too easy, nothing to do, can't find upgrades, etc) are the same people who spent a ton of gold on the AH, bought super powerful items and are now on forums complaining they never find upgrades. Guaranteed.
Diablo 3 is great but if i have to compare my enjoyment was better when i played diablo 2. I think the RMAH is killing the communication between players and the trade aspect which was one of the best part from d2 for me. The random attributes system is also something they should pay attention (quiver with intel, wand with strengh, crap legendaries, etc..).
You will be happy to hear that Blizzard is doing EXACTLY that!
Legendarys/Sets are getting a universal buff and reworking, I believe they are slated for 1.0.4. Itemization tweaks have been mentioned, but no concrete dates/info as of yet.
I have stopped playing D3. I played a bit today and I really have no intention in going back.
D3 is not a bad game but it is also not a good one. My friends are shocked that I am not playing it as much as I did D2 when it first came out. I played quite a bit of D3 but I am not finding any replayability at all. I aslo feel that D3 development team will not be able to fix anything since they have no idea on what is wrong and how t fix it.
I had doubts before buying the game but thought that Blizzard would not disapoint but they did.
Leveling was borring and felt like it was lacking.
It felt to me that Blizzard did not look into items until may 15th of this year. Item affixes are for the most part dull and that makes for item hunting to be very dull. I guess it is intended so you would use the auction house. I did not set foot in it and never will. to me that is not Diablo.
I do not mind that Champions are buffed but I would have liked that Diablo be the toughest monster in the game but sadly it is the elite packs.
Then the biggest isue I have is the connectivity. It was alright durring the starters edition but offer the last couple of weeks it has gotten worse. Latency in the red 90% of the time and really laggy. I know it is not Blizzards fault for all of it but I do not have much options for ISP since I can not get a landline so I have to use an USB internet stick. I only have 1 choice that has unlimited connection and for the most part I have good connection with it except for D3.
For the most part D3 is too easy until you get to late parts of Hell. The onloy issues I had earlier on were due to connections.

On Strike and supporting Fallout 4 Mod Makers
Some fallout 4 mod makers have had their mods stolen and uploaded and downloaded on Bethesda's site for the Xbox One.
I think its mostly the new generation of gamers that hate this game and QQ all the time. I played Everquest for 10 years starting at launch so I dont care if I grind for 6-7 hours a day just give me a few beers and I can go forever it doesnt bother me to grind. I will run Butcher and Kulle runs all day long and it doesnt bother me at all and I never get bored becuase I know what that feeling is like when that awesome item finally does drop. Hell got a 1k DPS one handed crossbow the other day off a treasure goblin in Act I and havent felt that giddy since I played Everquest and Raster finally spawned.
But in the WoW generation AKA carebear-cupcake-mickeymouse-Iwantmylootnow era people expect to log in and in 30 mins farm up perfect roll items. Or as soon as they get into Inferno expect to faceroll through it with no effort. They refuse to put in the effort and instead flood the forums with posts about how much the game sucks and why do they have to farm for weeks just to get to Act 2. Listen kiddies I remember farming and raiding old content in Everquest, while also proving myself to higher end guilds that I was a good player willing to put in the time and effort for raids for a year before my Monk finally got into Tacvi or Anguish so dont cry that you cant progress after 3 days. The mindset of gamers today absolutely disgusts me. They have some false sense of entitlement that just because they log in they should be showered with the best loot and invited into every raid and I have no idea where they got it from.

but... i have the best loot in wow... and i do get invited to every raid.. but that's maybe because i actually put in tons of effort (realm firsts, best geared mage on server, few rank 1s)
And i agree, i can farm D3 for hours, and have fun trying to get better, still not even in act 3 yet, taking my time and going at it in my own pace and yesterday i sold an item on RMAH for $100.
I come here on the forums often and all i see is ppl complaining, and i don't understand why, i think if u have played d2 at all then u can see the real value of diablo 3 and how amazing it is. I love all the classes and every aspect of the game and honestly couldn't be happier with it and i feel that every true diablo 2 fan ( who would play for a month at a time every once in a wile these past years) should feel the same way.
I hope there is others who share the same opinion about the game!
You are not the only one. Diablo 3 is absolutely amazing. It is a vast improvement from D2 in almost every way. My only gripe is the linear questing system but that's not a game breaker for me by any means.
IMO stop paying attention to the vocal minority and their whining. Some people's lives are so sad and pathetic that they simply can't be happy with anything.
I honestly can't think of anything from D2 I really miss.
I have to admit, I miss runewords and charms a lot. I hope Blizzard brings them in soon. haha.
See though as with Diablo 2, those things we're brought in with an expansion (for some reason people don't recgonise that) and I'm sure when the D3 expansion gets released we will have new stuff like that. Though I'm hoping not charms ><. They were just annoying.
I think a big part of the people who played D2 and loved it expected far more from D3. I guess the long wait just fueled that fire and it got overhyped to a degree that expectations couldn't be met.
From what I've seen most of the haters have either never played Diablo before or have very, very hazy memories of D2.
The UI is terrible. The original UI (which listed skills in 3 separate categories, ALL on the same tab) was stellar. It was done away with for fear that "new/casual gamers" would find it confusing.
Are you talking about the talent trees? Well there's no trees anymore so of course that's gone. How was it confusing to newbies? That system wasn't complex at all it was very simple and very badly designed. I remember saving up skill points until Hell because all the low level options were garbage, boy that was fun.
There are no memorable items. After playing D2 for a month you could at least name 5-10 "must-have" items or at least 5-10 set/unique items. I can't even name one in D3.
By memorable you mean brokenly OP items that render all random drops irrelevant. LOD completely broke D2 by introducing those. I remember back in the day the forums were full of people complaining about how everyone was wearing the exact same gear and wishing Blizzard would take it back to D2 classic where a perfectly rolled rare was the best item possible, which meant everyone's gear was unique and there was always something more powerful to find. Plus it made rares worthless. How would you like D3 if magic and rare items sold for absolutely nothing on the AH and the only thing of any value was a unique piece which had a drop rate of like 0.000000001%? That's what D2 was like.
You don't find your own gear. You really need to use the AH to find any gear worth using. The best thing about D2 was that you could go kill Mephisto and find a Shako or an Occulus and almost wet your pants from excitement. I see now why they took out unidentifying scrolls for D3. Because if I had to spend money to unidentify so many useless items I'd go berserk.
You do NOT. You just couldn't be bothered farming it yourself.
Did you farm the runes for your Breath of the Dying back in D2 yourself? I played that game for like 5 years, I had 30+ characters and I never saw a rune higher than Ohm drop. Never completed a single Hell set. The drop rates in D2 were unimaginably terrible but nobody remembers that because they just bought all their gear off dupers. It is SUPPOSED to take a long time to find anything good in Diablo.
People complain about everything, judging the happiness of a games fans from the forums is like judging the health of an area from their hospital
This^^
People who love and enjoy the game use their time to play it, not to go on boards and yell in every thread how much it sucks.
If all the people that love the game would come and post here and other Diablo forums, there would be a lot of websites with bandwith problems.
D3 is fine, but they didn't take any chances with it. D1 and D2 each knocked my socks off back in the day, but D3 just feels like D2+ or maybe D2.5. I haven't messed with the RMAH, but interacting with the (gold) AH is tiresome and I really wish it was somehow better integrated with the game.
True story.
and i start finding items to sell on RMAH, then I will really like it ^.^

no, just accurate, that is a pretty accurate description of D3
