SS have been going for the max $250US that is allowed on the RMAH. Don't know the stats - and who knows if it's collusion either since it's only a $1 fee.
In the real-money auction house, the minimum you can list an item for is $1.25 USD (or equivalent local currency). The minimum listing price for commodities is $0.25 (or equivalent local currency). The maximum you can set is $250 USD.
This would imply that 1000 gold will have a minimum worth of €/£ 0.25
I think it will be too hard to determine anything at this point. EU has had huge differences in prices compared to NA. People are just going to list things on the RMAH for as much as they can, it may take a couple of weeks.

Playing Diablo since 97. I know nothing and having nothing good to say, I be a troll.
I'm not planning to buy nothing right now in AH. Most people will just put items there for $250 and ppl will buy it. When thoses ppl stop buying, the price will drop to more reasonable values, and then I will start buying.
Yeah I aggree people are putting for max to see how it will sell. But when they wont and more and more get up on market it will stabalize and be a lot lower
The prices are an absolute joke, how in the world did anyone even think "good gear" would sell for over 40$. there is no one on my friend list or anyone I spoke to in real life, that is willing to spend more than 20$ on 1 item in the AH, and people actually think they are going to sell decent stuff for what most people won't even spend on awesome stuff?
The sooner these trolls figure out that most things are going to sell for 5-10$ the sooner we actually get to enjoy using the real money auction house.
At least i got a good long laugh out of it when I got home from work

I agree. The problem is people ARE paying those absurd prices.

Are they fluctuating a lot?
Commodities later
Stormshields are $250 for decent ones, $50 for junk ones.
But according to the Diablo III Auction House - Functionality page on battle.net:
This would imply that 1000 gold will have a minimum worth of €/£ 0.25
Yes, you sort buyout and see SOLD in the listings of all the other $250. Question is, is it legit.
Clearly I am not the 1%

Rich idiots who would rather buy their gear than actually play to get it.
