I'm getting bored of farming all day all night, anything I can do to make the game look a little bit more "fun" haha?
I know it's all about the gear and stuff but once you've cleared inferno, you just grind mobs and spots on reppetition just trying to find good gear and you that all day all night...
Any idea? I tried streaming but I got bored. (And it slows down my PC too much xd)
Have you ever played Diablo before ?
Didn't you know that's what the game is all about ?
Although I would agree that there Diablo 3's farming is different from Diablo 2's.
It lacks the mindless repetitive style that made you do the same thing for hours without getting bored
Who hasn't spent night farming cows / baal for xp.
Try to get some of the more obscure achievements. Try to kill some bosses with some less than ideal builds or with less effective gear. Do some speed runs. Try to find all the different uniques monsters. Try to make a whole bunch of gold. Play with some friends and do some fun runs. Or if all else fails, level another class or even level another of the same class and play completely differently while leveling up.
Or take a break, come back after 1.1 and go in search of some good legendaries.

Nerd: When you say it, you best say it with awe,
'Cause I'm the type of nerd that will bust your jaw.
I agree, I am kind of burned out on the game too. I guess the reason why it seems more boring to me at least is that it is more of a grind for gold to then buy items for your char. TBH I think I am wearing 2 items that I actually found myself all the rest are from the AH... I have played alts a bit too but not a ton of fun there for me. Maybe a break is just in order? but I have to pay back my friend some gold I borrowed to gear up for killing Diablo first lol ><

I think the real question here is this: why do you keep farming after beating the game? What do you need upgrades for?
I see several possible reasons here:
1. "To be able to roflstomp Inferno". But that's just farming to be able to farm better. That's nonesense to me.
2. "To be cool and stuff". Showing off is childish. Honestly, I don't even consider this as a legit reason.
3. "To be able to help my friends". Why don't you play with them now then? Co-op differs a lot from the solo play, so it may entertain you while farming better gear.
4. "I need something to burn my time with". Well, then stop whinning, you get what you want.
5. "To PWN people, when PvP goes live". I think that's the only "real" reason why one would continue farming this game after beating it.
I personally don't like PvP and don't want any alts, so the game will probably end for me when I'll kill Inferno Diablo (at least the "softcore" game; hardcore is the whole different story).
The fundemental problem with Diablo 3 when it comes to farming at 60, is that you don't level any further.
In Diablo 2, getting to level 99 was an additional bonus while farming, getting those extra stats and skill points was just as (if not more) rewarding than the gear.
In Diablo 3, you've already taken that reward away and it's just simply killing things faster.
Edit: I guess there is PvP but being in SEA, I won't even bother with that due to latency.
Try to beat the market.
Read the gold economy and invest in commodities.
Do some research in different forum communities.
Wait for RMAH, and start making some money.
Use said money to buy items, gear up, beat inferno/hardcore whatever.
Rinse and repeat.
Moderation is the key, of course you will get bored if you play a lot.
I disagree. Played Diablo 2 day and night for years since release and wasn't bored of the game until years of playing. Diablo 3 was boring day 4-5 after I was already in inferno. There just isn't anything to do, the level cap is way to low and easy to hit. There is no PvP. The MF gets old and boring, I don't want to run around for half an hour killing normal monsters and hope that something will drop. I would rather run Mephisto runs in 2 minutes and KNOW that something will drop.
In D2 it was about the quick and convenience of stuff, I could log in the morning before work and do a few meph runs and come out with decent gear. In D3 I could log in and spend my whole morning and collect nothing.

I 100% agree with this. The current endgame of D3 is very boring.
Maybe it will get better but I don't know, they completly dropped the ball on legendaries and are saying it will be fixed in a later patch (not 1.0.3).
The situation is really bad for inferno, and they react wayyy too slow in my opinion.
If they decide to release untested/unfinished content like they did the 15th, I'm fine with that but then they should be monitoring and actively testing it and tuning it as soon as possible.
We are looking at a 1 month first patch that adresses only one of the core problem of inferno (drop ilvl %).
The addiction of loot farming is just not there. Loots are boring and all you want is to find a yellow that has the 4 stats you want, with good rolls. Everything else you throw away as garbage. This sucks.
If there were better affixes you could actually settle for something having one great affixe and minor ones, but you really cannot. You only want your main stat, some vita, allres if melee, liferegen/life on hit ON EVERY PIECES... Now you make a little probability calculus in your head and you figure why we feel we are looting crap all day long.
I've now down Diablo Inferno with both my Wizard and my Barbarian, I won't log until 1.0.3 only to play a bit of coop. Well, I hope I'll be able to do that because currently coop just blows in Inferno imo and since anything below A3 drops crap I cannot combine efficient farming and coop play with a melee (since they suck in A3+) -.-
Don't get me wrong I still think its a great game, but like I said it has issues that kinda prevent me from enjoying it more than I already did, and at least I'm persistent I know many people that just stopped midway in Inferno because its just a pure mess.
