This has happened twice now, both times during the lag that we sometimes get form the servers. I am so frustrated, i have lost my staff of herding (HELL), a chest plate and pants. Has this happened to anyone else?
AND NO I DID NOT DROP IT, i just want to know if i am the only one....
Yea, i could care less about the few 100k's i lost from my armor. What i'm really mad about is the 750k and hours i took getting the items for the staff...

I lost items on 2 Butcher runs... 5 stacks of NV, the 2 rares and all 4-6 magic items all disappeared.. it happened when I got disconnected right after going back to Tristram (to sell, salvage, and farm a bit more gold with the 5 stacks on Old Ruins).
Pretty annoying.. 1 of the rares was an amulet and the other was a high-tier armor (pretty sure it was going to be lvl 60+), so yeah..

The game saves continuously, but logically there are gaps between saves, even if they are small. I would assume if you had just picked up your items and TP'd to town, then DC'd, that you got caught in the gap. Lag always sucks ><
To OP; I'm sure you've checked, but just to make sure did you check your whole stash for your staff? I noticed that when I drop an item on top of my staff in the 3rd tab, that instead of switching both locations, the new item takes the staffs place, and the staff gets randomly put somewhere else, a lot of the times in the first tab.
What puzzles me the most is why in the hell would you leave your items on the floor?!? Just drop the shity ones and pickup the rares. I always do that, then go back and pickup the rest ASAP. Do not go killing mobs etc...
I'd say you brought this one on your own
