My fondest diablo memory goes over a decade back, and is the story of purchasing my first computer game before I even owned a computer. I was middle school age, and my family had just moved to South Dakota. I had not been set up for school there etc, so I had nothing to do except play this interesting game I had rented for playstation called diablo. My brother and I played the crap out of the game. We eventually had to return the rental. My father said that he was going to be getting a computer through his work, and when I saw the computer CDROM edition at a local store, I just had to buy it knowing we would soon have a computer to play it on. I was so psyched that I would read the manual for hours looking at the item and character descriptions. Well the time came and the computer finally showed up, but there was a problem. The computer didn't come with a CDROM! So I was now stuck without a way to play the game I owned, until we moved back to our former town of residence and I was able to use a family friend's computer.
Now that I'm writing this, I have no idea why I just didn't buy the playstation version. Anyway, thats my diablo story, I hope you enjoyed and pick me for your guest pass giveaway
(p.s. I am a lurker and registered for this post lol).
Brave Hero!
A ferocious barbarian, whose unfathomable eagerness to enter the world Sanctuary can be withheld no longer, requests the assistance of his brethren adventurer in acquisition of this mysterious artifact of “Guest Pass”, so his thirst for demon blood can be quenched at once. Such act of nobleness won’t go unappreciated and the philanthropy of this deed will be retold for generations to come.

I am told that the Stone of Jordan is so common that it was an appropriate method for summoning Uber Diablo via vendor rate. Well, in 10 years of on-and-off play, I have never found a single SoJ. That includes the last year of pretty regular play waiting on D3. Regular enough to get a few characters to high 80s and one to 97. Not a single SoJ. If things continue as it appears, I may actually get an SoJ before the Collector's Edition arrives at my doorstep!
Edit: Request withdrawn, Adon was kind to me in Give-Away-2.
For Diablo 2 it would be making friends with a fellow Barbarian player during a cow run because we were both using 3 socket Cruel Colossus blades. While this guy had a were druid, he was almost always playing a Barb. Oddly enough he would make a barb of pretty much any build, but I don't think he ever played one with Whirlwind and was awesome at playing Barb. So many times I'd join games with him where he'd get into arguments with people that were complete tools. Than they would get into a duel and moments later you would see that he had "slain" them in the chat.
We would also mf the crap out of everything back in 1.09. At that time I sucked with Sorceress(I dont think I even had static), so he would tank the boss, then let me get the last hit since I had a lot of magic find. Unfortunately he stopped playing after Guild Wars came out and I gotta say I still miss playing Diablo 2 online with him.
Though one of my biggest one time memories was I had joined at the very end of a cow run so I went through the portal anyways to look for armor to vendor for gold, items to use for crafting, and socketables. About the time I was about to leave the game, wouldn't you know it someone missed a perfect unique shako.
Also found a perfect Bul Kathos ring during a Countess run along with a Stormshield off a armor rack on way to Countess as well, but during a different ladder.
Last ladder while doing a Countess run I oddly enough found an Ohm rune off a champion while she dropped crappy runes. I also remember a time before the spam bots.

I want to tell you almost everything that happened to me because of Diablo ... And so I sit and try to remember all the details of my experience. And I understand that completely connected with this game the soul and spirit. My relationship with Diablo began exactly 10 years ago, May 15, 2002.
On this day in 2002 I will be 10 years old, and I triped to a hockey game. It turned out that my birthday coincided with the birthday of another player in our team, his name was Andrew. Since we were from a small town, we quickly became best friends. It's funny that we learned about our shared birthday, because both were upset. After all, we have to wait until we go home to celebrate birthdays, receive gifts and eat cake. His parents had just bought him a new computer (Pentium, oh yeah!), And he was hoping to get a game for his computer.
It is worth noting that at this moment I did not have a computer, because my parents did not think it will be useful, especially because of computer games (You can say that, in the end, I won, and now I have a Web developer). In the summer, I spent a lot of time with Andrew home. We, of course, played Diablo 2 for almost the entire day and sometimes all night ... We secretly made their way down from the bedroom into the room with the computer to keep playing after his parents had gone to bed. We had a system, while one person plays, the other check, do not wake up the parents, and yet looked at the screen. We changed places after the next treatment area.
When we were traveling together on the bus, we studied the manual for the game. From the sports guys, we rolled up to strange guys who, hunched over, read the manual of video games. We speculated about the heroes who will be most effective in each case, what weapon is better, and so forth. Yes, we have spent so much time living the game. Fantastic memories.
It makes me think the game Diablo. She was very charming and I loved every second of playing it. I still remember the video. How often you can get a game that is so beautifully creates an overall atmosphere by great rolls? And the sound was quite frightening and fascinating at the same time.
But in the end, it turned out that my candle is burning brighter than Andrew. He was tired from playing so much that he gave it to me. Eventually, he moved to another country with his family, and I do not see him. I am convinced all summer my parents bought me a computer, and eventually I got it on "school grounds". This was followed by numerous "weary night" for the game Diablo. So I went on to play at every opportunity and managed to hide it from my parents.
Fast forward two years ago ... May 15, 2010. Andrew congratulated me VKontakte Happy Birthday (I have not talked to him for almost 5 years). We remembered the old days, and began to talk about the upcoming release of Diablo 3, and in the end, we decided to create a new character in Diablo 2, and plunge into the past. But after a while, again, the interest started to wane, and we played less and less. After that, we finally decided that the most appropriate solution would be to wait for a Diablo 3.

Well, it was the first time I played diablo 2, I was at a friends house (who was also playing for the first time). So anyways, we made a char and got pretty much carried to act 3 (normal). By the time we reached mephisto, everyone else had left the room, so it was just us and our weak char with a terrible build against mephisto so we ended up spending about 1.5-2 hours fighting him, dying atleast 50 times in the process, until some random dude joined the room and saved us. Nevertheless, it was a pretty fun experience especially now looking back on it.
Please write a paragraph or two about, either your fondest Diablo memory, or reason why you should be selected to get the guest pass.
UPDATE: Have given away 5 keys so far, have 1 more left to give out thanks to forum member Lustiv !
Thanks Lustiv !
All of the above still applies, don't bother asking for one if you're not willing to put in 10 minutes of work to tell me something interesting.
Can't even write one single paragraph to get a guest pass?
