Some friends and I ordered several copies of the Diablo 3 CE from walmart. However, seems they all didn't want to wait for them to arrive next week and just went with the digital download. So I have a lot extra now that will arrive next week... should I keep them for a few months to resell or just return to walmart when they arrive?
return them >.> they wont be worth 100 by the end of the year cause there going to make a ton to make up for the lack of them now SC CE's are not worth more than 70 atm

Starcraft CE wasn't LE. This one is. Huge difference.
Use the CE codes on your accounts to upgrade them from SE to CE. Some blue's already said this was possible. There are no ill affects on your characters from doing this, and you will have access to all the CE items by making new characters and throwing the items into your shared stash.
As other's have said, they won't go up in value much once the game is out. Plenty of stores will have lot's of extra CE's kicking around.
Wow, I can't believe what some people are saying in this thread! There will not be "extras" and there aren't "plenty of stores" that still have them: you are in a unique position with all your extra copies! I would say, if you're feeling generous, take them back to the store, because there will be tons of people hounding that store for a bit just on hope. If you're not feeling generous, put some up for sale now and hold back one; you can definitely sell the ones now for a profit, and you can probably sell them later for a huge profit. Remember, this is limited edition, and it's not ever going down past its current retail value.

i would choose my own religion and worship my own spirit, but if he ever preached to me i wouldn't want to hear it. i'd drop him, a forgotten god, languishing in shame; and then if i hit stormy seas, i'd have myself to blame.

The same was said about many other "Collector's editions" of previous games. Albeit they weren't as big as D3, but the same principles apply. The only time CE's are in short supply, is for preorders. And that's because it's limited by blizzard in a big way. Are they "limited supply"? Yes. But they make a huge supply. You can still go into most Best Buy's or Walmarts and walk out with SC2 or WoW Cataclysm collector's editions for cheaper than they were on launch.
Here's a Link to a quick Amazon search of past Blizz titles. Some of the prices are getting up there, but are by no means in the "huge profit" range. Atleast not in my opinion. http://www.amazon.co...ector's edition
The prices may go up on some of them down the road, but it won't be by a huge amount.
Yeah, it's a lot to consider. Do you think BrandGame's Diablo III Limited Edition guide book would/might go up on price too?
With how unpopular actual "books" are becoming nowadays, I wouldn't think that would go up much, if at all in price. All the information in the guide is available online. And you get no in-game perks for owning it. So I don't think it's demand will far exceed the huge supply out there right now. This is all speculation though.
I can't see them being worth more later, I think if you try and sell them tomorrow, for $300+, you'll get the most.
You're kidding right? The WoW pet alone (unless I'm mistaken... I thought there was a WoW vanity pet) will cause this CE to be worth a fortune down the road. Let people who aren't playing come back for Mists of Pandaria... let me get into those pet battles and get super obsessive over them... then let them get the scent of a pet they dont have... convert to cash. It might not be worth it to you, but there are a lot of game players out there with a lot of money to throw around.

I'm all for making some extra ca$h, but where are you seeing them actually selling for $300? They look to go for around $150 on eBay.
