Try and keep it constructive, or don't bother because I'm obviously not going to use any uneducated responses. Thanks for the Bumps though, keep focusing on my minor suggestions, rofl.

13. QQ more please because its done so well so far in the other 20 page threads of people whining on the official forums and here.
Pretty much this.
9. Don't mention it, they don't need to hear about something like this for the billionth time, especially when they said they're looking into it.
12. They already stated why they won't incorporate this into d3. It's time to move on from D2. Just because you wont use it for those reasons doesn't mean other people won't.
EDIT: Enough of the bloody nit-picking. Can't you just enjoy the game without making forum posts like these?

Bashiok - Blizzard Representative - 08/01/2011 -"So how many skill combinations are there now? Well taking into account 6 active skills, all the rune combinations, and 3 passives we currently expect each class to have roughly 2,285,814,795,264 different build combinations."
"Hey, I thought you'd like the witty irony of grub-on-glowie violence!"
Sorry, but almost all of your concerns have no real merit.
Really? You're going to complain about stuff like you want them to put more thought in naming items? I'm sorry, is this your game that you are developing?
So I'm guessing you're not getting the closed beta FoS huh?
Weapon swap does nothing but give you extra space to carry some items. In D2 it made it mandatory for people to swap right before a boss kill to use their MF weapons to be the most efficient. It was a bad game mechanic.
They are kind of already 'cracking down on bots' and 'further developing Bnet 2.0'. Not sure why you would bring this up.
A 5th character slot for games? There's no reason to, 4 is fine.
They've already said they are willing to try and make unique boss kills.
Attribute elixirs? They are a bad mechanic from D1. Since there are no att. requirements on gear, you would have to make the elixirs extremely powerful, and there's absolutely no point to them. You get to change / switch around your attributes by changing / switching gear.
Why do people feel so entitled to everything? They aren't being rewarded for their participation. IT'S A THANK YOU FOR THEIR ASSISTANCE.
Not only that - it's just a freaking feat of strength. It does absolutely nothing. It doesn't reward any points, and it doesn't show up unless you have it.
NOT EVERYBODY GETS A GOD DAMNED TROPHY.
hmmm.... i feel like everything u said is dumb except a few things they said they would already fix/look into.
The only 1 i agree with you on is #8, Battle.net 2.0 just isn't as good as as Battle.net in a lot of regards but that's only slightly due to chat channels.
The fatality thing is cool, but not if you died from it, unless you were already low on HP. It should take a bigger chunk out but not kill you.
From what I understood, if you take a hit that is supposed to kill you, the fatality kicks in.
Oh, that makes sense. I think it'd be great then. Possibly they may of taken it out because of exploiting a "sacrafice" so they could DPS the boss while he was too busy eating someone lol.
No, they took it out because they didn't have time to make and incorporate all the animations. They said after the game released they might come back to it.
RMAH: the current system works well, security and abuse measures are being taken to the best of blizzards ability, a cellphone account is required for verification, which is good.
1) Bring back Attribute Elixirs in some manner, whether it be in a patch or expansion.
I agree, either as very rare drop or reward for a very rare random encounter.
2) In either a patch or expansion, bring back ALL unique items from Diablo 1 & 2.
I don't really see a reason to live in the past, they brought some back, some will probably come in the next expansion, but bring back all of them... i don't see a reason for that.
3) Bring back character fatalities during boss battles.
I couldnt care less to be honest, they were removed for a reason.
4) Add at least a 5th character slot to game rooms and scale difficulty appropriately as such.
4 or 5, same thing to me.
5) Enable only a maximum of 5 second cooldown when switching abilities on your skill bar throughout all difficulties.
Why? its to encourage people to stick with their builds when facing rare mobs, most people will go for it with their current build because of the long CD, switching should be only done before boss fights.
6) Crack down hard on Bots, Hackers, and spammers*.
This is a no brainer.
7) Make character names feel more important, make them more prevalent.
I'm fine with the current system.
8) Further develop the Diablo 3 Battle.net 2.0 Chat System.
Agree.
9) Incorporate a dueling system and custom vs match system. (1v4, 4v4, 2v4 etc. or beyond if you increase game capacity beyond 4 players)
I agree, as long as they keep it casual and fun.
10) Allow followers to be used by everybody even in a full game and increase difficulty appropriately.
I see absolutely no reason for that.
11) Remove the casting time from identifying objects. (Minor concern)
I like the casting, it makes you wait with anticipation for the reveal.
12) Allow there to be a weapon swap in Diablo 3 Similar to Diablo 2 (Minor concern)
I very much disagree, people would just switch to MF weapons just before a boss/rare died, it was just being abused.
13) Remove the Closed beta "Feat of Strength" or Add an Open Beta Participation "Feat of Strength" (Minor concern)
It puzzles me that people even care about this when there are so many sigils in the game.
Nice to see a constructive post on here. I agree with most of your ideas but take offence to the idea of balancing the auction house and numbers 4, 5, 10, 12 I have included explanations below. I majorly support numbers, 2, 6 ,7 ,8 , 9, 15 ;the support is less wordily written.
Major Support
2: I've never even played the first two and think this would be an awesome idea. There is nothing in this world like nostalgia.
6. Of course we all hate bots. Remember with the RMAH bots will become not just about gameplay to Blizzard but will actually be affecting a marketplace with REAL MONEY value. As such they can not only be banned but given hefty fines or placed in prison. As such I believe Blizzard will follow up on this. Part of having to always be online makes it much harder to Bot.
7. I think character names give you a unique connection to your character so I agree. This is more connected to the chat comment.
8. Why are MMOs so successful? I would much rather play Super Smash Brothers' gameplay than WoW gameplay. It is because of the community aspect. It's fun making a guild and playing other people. I would take this a step further and ask Blizzard for the ability to run time tests on missions. Two teams go through a mission starting at the same time but are assured that the map will get the same roles for each team. This time of community is the way to make a game last, get expansions, and pump up your RMAH cut.
Creating a way for people to join together is a huge part of the game as it also makes you more connected to your own character. Single player games may leave you feeling like you're walking through someone else's life, but them in a community and they become your own special story
9: I'm a pure PvP guy. Only D3 would make me think to do anything else, PvP in Diablo will make sure I play for years to come. Can't wait to see what they do.
Critiques Auction House: Blizzard's purpose is not to create a competitive atmosphere to make money in. The RMAH is not a game it is a way from Blizzard to monitor the real money trading of Blizzard items. Remember this is not an MMO, after you buy the game Blizzard gets no more money, so any upkeep they do such as trading your cash comes directly out of there pocket. As such it is you not them that is expected to take the cost of money transfers.
4: The question is why only 5, I would like 8? I'm sure Blizzard would love to put in a million game slots and readjust difficulty to each one but it's a matter of time and money. Readjusting takes a significant amount of testing because you have to take into account multiple class combinations and each class' solo capabilities. As gamers would love to be able to play with all of our friends at once, but Blizzard has decided that 4 is their cut off point for their budget. Like I said I also think it is to few but it is hard to argue against a budget we can't see.
5: A 5 second cool down is to encourage people to try a build out. Ranged classes should be able to kite for more than five seconds, and melee classes using leep/dashing strike could probably manage 2-3. As such someone would still be able to switch back and forth mid-battle which is exactly what the cool down is meant to stop. Anything under 15 is much to few for a solid ranged player, a good number would be 25 I believe Blizzard is playing it safe with 30. I'm not sure if you misunderstood this but the cool down goes away completely in the later difficulties(I assume just inferno)
10: They did this for the same reason as my answer to 4. In short, it would take up too much time to readjust difficulty for something that minimally enhances gameplay. While I would prefer to play with up to 8 real people, I support them in this as followers do not add to much strategy or fun to the game. I believe their main intended purpose is actually not gameplay but to build a personal connection with the characters in the game, real life people will do this much better than followers.
12: I side with the devs on this one. Since there is no cap for magic find this would take away any reason to farm champs/elites because the magic find would inflate the bosses with even a low chance of dropping rare gear have a higher chance. I believe that you could still switch to a magic find weapon right before you killed a champ or elite if you were quick enough, and with Diablo's online gaming history I wouldn't leave it to player's morals.
You'll see a lot of posts against your points because a lot of them have been discussed so thoroughly that people either gave up fighting against it (mostly because it won't change) or just turned to the other side of the discussion (changed their minds about those features)
i like the number. you're actually forced to think over your party's composition through. you can't bring all the classes and their strengths and abilities to the table so you need to compromise on how you set-up your build. it becomes more co-op than having more people and have all bases covered. leaves an area for weakness and in turn makes you more tactical in playing the game to not let that weakness be the downfall of the party.

That would be cool, but its not necessary.
A QUADRILLION MAGIC FIND is worthless if you can't kill shit!
blizz said they will bring them back. eventually. after PVP n such
