More and more I get the impression there are LOTS of CE's out there to be had from retail stores. Not the 'limited supply' and scarcity that has been alluded to since it was announced.
It all depends on the amount of disposable income you have in my opinion.
Sure....if you have a million dollars you feel like wasting, then I will gladly sell you my CE. Though I didn't even preorder one, but for a million clams I promise to be standing at your door by midnight with it.
Well I only bought the regular version. I would never buy the collectors edition even for retail price. I am fairly certain anyone buying the collectors edition has more money to spend on toys then i do. I am sure it is worth $200 to many people, but I am not one of them.
Well, I know a guy shelling out 800 DKK (142 USD) for the CE, and he doesn't have a computer to play the game. So I'd say it's your own money, do what you want with it.
Personally I wouldn't go for it though. Getting the CE myself for 800 DKK, and that's plenty expensive for me, being a student and all, that's pretty much my entire month out the window. Good thing I like spaghetti.
Why are people giving him this stupid advice? Its already been said multiple times there are ways to get it for retail price.

Do you want to get scammed? Perhaps a nice keylogger?

What stupid advice? Telling him to spend his money on whatever he wants is stupid advice?
Telling him to buy something for $200, when he can get it for $100 is indeed stupid advice.

That is way overpriced. I am throwing down $100 for this game and thought THAT was a lot. Even though this Collector's Edition has some AWESOME stuff in it. I seriously love the art book stuff, CE exclusive in game stuff, and that amazing Diablo USB flash drive that I will carry everywhere!
I`m from norway and I preordered couple weeks ago at the local store, for a upfront sum of 34 dollar, what the total is i have no idea, but that is what I had to pay just to be able to come back at 00:01 15.may to get a copy.. Heck i still havent checked what I get extra From CE.. I just wanted it, so I got it..

Blizzard games cannot be overpriced. Ever. Impossible.
Seriously, try finding it somewhere else for less cash. If you can't: buy it you think you will definitely spend at least 100 hours on playing d3.
